Sounds just like it has intake...sounded the same on my 09 till I got my exhaust. I highly recommend Skunk2 70mm exhaust. You'll love the results.

I bought and installed my intake last week, and I didn't cut the splash shield yet. So far so good. The only thing is that I can't fit my fog light the right way, but it's still in there. Eventually I'll end up cutting it. Thanks for your help.

In my opinion, the AEM sounds a little beefier than the Injen...I actually had a hard time telling from this video that you even had a CAI, but it could just be the video. With my AEM, I can hear the deep purr even with my windows up. You have any other mods?

not true, look it up and I've test driven both. The XRS is not faster and even if it was, there's no excitement in driving the XRS. It's quite and soft.

I've test driven about 20 cars now and can't believe I'm going to buy a civic si w/ HFP18s. The WRX, cooper s, speed3 for ex. I don't believe are worth the extra cash, $4-7K unless I'd be driving on a track and am not.

There is no way it would beat a GT mustang. the 99-04 came with 260hp V8. Newer models make even more power. But it would be a good race between the SI and a V6 mustang. The 3.8V6 came with 196hp. I saw a 01 prelude and 02 V6 mustang go at it and the prelude won by a bumper.

You would notice the sound but not a lot like a turbo LOL. As for hp, injen CAI can give you up to 15hp. usually gives out like 8-9hp though.

It's easy to drive fast in the new SI.. The gearing and tranny is just f'n awesome. I don't gear if a mazda3speed is faster I wouldn't trade my SI for it. Rather trade it in a few yrs and use as down payment for 3-series bmw 330i :)
