I'm not quite sure that is true.. Unlike us, the US has Aircraft Carriers, and landing on one of those in complete darkness and a storm in the sea is NOT a simple task at all..

But it is true that Israeli pilots are epic pilots simply because of the motivation. They know that if they lose the battle there might be no country, the US isn't under any threat. We are being threatened 24/7, so the air-force makes sure they take the best of the best..
