This must have been when they opened Stitch's Great Escape. The little sticker on the windshield. It may not be the driver of the monorail recording this though; I know if some people are really lucky and ask for it, you can sit in the cabin with the driver. I got to do that when I was ten, and it was so great! I loved that experience!
Your camera is focused on the windshield, not what's outside. You need to either set your camera to manual focus or hold the camera farther back from the windshield.
oh right, i come from the uk and we didn't here any think about it until our firend who works at WDW told us and she only gave us a few details like that two monorails had crashed.
I once road in the front back in 1991(it was the last time I was there) and the driver ripped ass real loud and tried to blame my older brother. My dad and I were laughing so hard!!!
probably not, you can sit up front if you have a party of 4. i rode up there once w/ my family. it's awesome, but kinda scary cause you feel like you can fly thru the window! lol. but wdw is gr8 :)

LittleMissMoni, schooled6 was not asking you. He was asking the owner of the video. Maybe he was seeing that the owner was videotaping the control panel. He might think it's the owner who is the driver. SO NEXT TIME WHEN SOMEONE ASKS ABOUT HOW THINGS GO ON A VIDEO, DON'T ANSWER THEM INSTEAD OF THE OWNER. OKAY? GOT THAT?!!
once you get into parking or one of the 3 resorts that have monorail stops, the monorail is free for anybody, coz it's just outside of the ticketing at the parks. Those 3 would be the Polynesian, The Contemporary, and The Grand Floridian. The other resorts don't have monorail access either.
Plus people have to pay the Disney parks Tickets and/or stay at one of the hotel they get to ride the monorail so it very clean and safe to ride on it with no other type of people riding alone with you. By the way, unlike Disneyland in CA, this one people can stand in it if they like Plus people in wheelchair can easily move their wheelchair round inside.
In San Diego the trolley that goes to certain destination pretty much does the same thing but it is not a monorail up high with docking port everywhere, it more like a train then anything. The monorails are much more stylish and you can look down on things. Also it takes you to the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT or your hotel that are on the monorail's line.
I loved riding the monorail in Disney! It was soooooooooooooo awesome! I remember the sound of the announcer, the airconditioner, and even the sights! God, I want to really go back now! Thanx for posting this up!
Watching this video brings back so many great memories.

Riding on a Monorail is fun and it's FREE for Walt Disney World Resort guests.

I hear they might be putting in monerail tracks for MGM and Animal Kingdom but will be really expensive and take 5 to 10 years is this is true.
planepirate 4 years ago 2
Yup. They used a Stitch sticker to advertise, "Stitch's Great Escape" when it was opened in 2006.

I sure wish EVERY Disney hotel resort had a monorail station, but imagine how long it would take to get where you're going!!!
clockwork1297 4 years ago
i agree that would be alot easier then taking a bus and quicker
Setka1982 3 years ago
They could just build a new line tho!! It really is a good idea.
jondeik 3 years ago
as in...one that leads to the other parks & resorts or what? that would be cool...
lxnthnyv 3 years ago
yeah... in fact I think every major city in the USA should consider using monorails.

I have noticed that while the train is moving, there seems to be a buzzer that comes on periodically. I wonder what that is.
Myrtone 4 years ago
That "beep" you hear is, I believe, the speed limit changing for the train.
MonorailLime 4 years ago
No it is to keep the operator awake. I kid you not.
LiberalNoob 4 years ago
That's correct.
I see and hear it on the Kuala Lumpur monorail in Malaysia too.
Exactly the same beep. Then the speedometer flashes off the speed range to tell the driver to slow down.
SalocinTEN 2 years ago
It is the speed restriction / speed increment alarm.
SalocinTEN 2 years ago
I remember last time I went, they changed the monorail narator. I like the new narator better.
