I love how the older themes feel more scarier and full of danger then they build up to being adventurous and heroic but still that element of danger. Up until the 10th Doctor where you really feel that tension like a fight for survival. Then with the 11th Doctor it's all danger sounding again like he's been thrown back, knocked back, into the darker times where the 'monsters' are more of a threat to him than he thought.

I have just seen 9 and 10. However, I am in the minority that thinks that Eccleston was better than Tennant. Tennant was very good after he established himself, but he didn't slide into the role of "Person everyone listens to" as well. Eccleston seemed to have more natural charisma as the Doctor. It didn't help that the last episode for 9 and the first episode for 10 were both comparatively poor (imo).

I like the bit for #8; it has a grander feel to it than the others (from the bits here).

I use to love Dr Who when I was little when Tom Baker was Dr Who, and he was brilliant. David Tennant is also one of my favourire Dr Who.

The voyage of the damned does lose some of its "spacey" theme, i'll admit. I like the fifth one the best for some strange reason, however the eigth does seem fitting as it was only used during the film, after all.

Actually my favorite is the 7th. The 8th is boring because it's not a synthesizer. If anything, everything up 'til 7 is the best, and everything afterward is too orchestrated and loses it's spacey vibe.

Peter Howell's (5th) version is the best one in my opinion. I am so much lured by the vocoder he used. The Murray Gold (9-10th) version comes second; it has so much of a "Star Wars 1" sound in it. But the 7th really suck. I hated the synth brass in it.

10th does not fit, really... i'm glad that you put it up here, but i'm just saying. all the other ones, or at least, almost all of the other ones, are kinda mysterious, and then the 10th doctor comes along, and his theme is like coming out guns blazing. It just doesn't fit with the others, don't you think?

I think the theme from Voyage of the Damned onwards is fitting for 10....as in my opinion series 4 was full of action and the Doctor was dashing all over the place, which makes the theme seem fitting for me :) Anyway that's only my opinion, your opinion is good too :)

the theme you used for the 5th doctor was also used for the 6th doctor for a season or two and also the 1st four doctors didn't all have the same.1st and 2nd had one. 3rd and 4th had a different one. apart from that it's good.

That was very impressive. the transitions are good. Some people have trouble mixing the 7th and 8th theme. You found the correct cut for the transition.
