  • I find myself unable to stop listening

  • Did you get it at Mordor?

  • hi wich one is it?

    F-Sopranino

    C-Sopran

    F-Alt

    C-Tenor

    F-Bass

  • @Skavenhoden Its an F bass

  • I think you are doing great! If you need help in it, I bet any local flute teacher could help, since it is so flute-like. Keep up the good work.

  • @flutist218 Thanks. It makes me pretty light headed when I play it cause it takes a lot of breath. I have been playing a smaller gemshorn lately and it is so much more fluid to play it.

  • Do you take many pauses cause you need a lot of air to play it? The sound is really cool, but the song isn't really captivating to me... miss in rythm. Just my opinion

  • @Brasacrasta No, I pretty much suck this instrument. I am not trained to play winds at all. I definitely need practice. I am a percussionist.

  • @crpederson train yourself. We're human... we don't have to check if batteries are included in us! Please be inspired ~ *

  • @DreamStars21 Thanks. Its training your breath, that is the hardest part i find. Also, finding the right pitch is also hard. I am not going to give up though. Its a wonderful instrument.

  • Nice instrument, keep it up.

  • Mix this and a Pan-flute, and you have a d@mn good combo. Nice job, dude! I've rarely heard a gemshorn, but is sounds quite nice. I only play the Pan-flute (18 pipe tenor), but I would like to learn this as well. :)

  • Awesome! Love the sound of that, it's very soft!

  • i'm playing kraftwerks tanzmusik in the background and this is perfectly playing over it.

  • that space and outfit looks very familiar

  • ¡Great sound!

Is it loud enough to play outdoors with recorders and drums?

  • epic

  • Hi Christopher, that's awesome! I've never seen or heard of a Gemshorn. Where did u get it?

  • There is a man named Bill Lazar in California who sells lots of early woodwinds. This gemshorn is a Pavel Cip made in the czech republic. Yes you could play it with drums. It is fairly loud; the video doesn't do this instrument much justice.
