Am I too cynical in thinking that the Ross and Brand fiasco was to distract us from the story of The Russian Yacht linked to Robert Maxwell?

Just like the "random" wrong dude being interviewed on the BBC when Hugo Chavez was visiting City Hall?

Robert I usually like a lot of what you say but to say the stuff that happened to Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand isn't that bad is an understatement. Did you listen to the whole thing? It wasn't the sex part that bothered me, it was the fact that they rang up an old man and left messages about the possibility of him committing suicide.

What made me so angry about the Brand Ross thing above all was all the MP's who tried to make a point of sticking their fucking noses in it, I was listening the Radio Manc in the car when Gordon Brown had something to say about the matter, to which I shouted 'GET BACK TO RUNNING THE FUCKING COUNTRY' quite loudly at the radio. Father was not amused.

iv always liked ross but iv always seen brand as a complete dick who is a waste of space ..and tbh i think the guys hwo shuda been in trouble are the pruducers who decided to keep it in the show

My problem with the Ross / Brand debacle is, that if this "prank" had been pulled by two young guys from my council estate, I assure you they would have felt the full force of the law. They would have (rightly) been prosecuted so fast that it would have made their heads spin. Fines, ASBOs, community service and possibly a listing on the sex offenders register would have followed. Ross should be sacked and its a travesty that others have lost jobs while he clings to his. Respect = minus 10.

Here are my problems with the Brand/Ross debacle:

Due to my diminished exposure to them here in Australia, I find them entertaining.

The antics on the radio a) were approved by the Producers before broadcast, and b) only got a couple of official complaints while on air, the rest came after.

The granddaughter really did sleep with Russell, so it wasn't even a lie.

Andrew Sachs accepted an apology.

It's all a storm in a teacup blown completely out of proportion.

As an American, and a very patriotic man, the election was very emotional for me. I am not an emotional man in any since of the word, but for some reason, that night brought out huge emotional feelings. Not because Obama is black, but because of the change he promises, his intelligence, his obvious knowledge of what is going on in the world and solid plans to make the promised changes. only time will tell if he follows up on them.

Andrew Sachs grand daughter must of loved all that media attention. In interviews she didnt look remotely upset or distraught about the whole incident at all. Probably too busy thinking about the cheques she was going to be cashing in.

I think roos / brand were dumb to do it especialy as ross is a very experienced presenter and should have known there would have been a back lash.

I hope that Barrack Obama will lead America into a new positive era. Shame hes got to clear up after Bush.

I agree that brand is a useless prick, but at least his childish antics make him a little entertaining on the side. Whereas imho ross is just a useless prick and boring to boot, so I for one am glad to see the back of him on prime time tv, even if it's only short lived.

You know that Obama is a marked improvement on Bush for two reasons:

Sorry Robert, I have to disagree with you on the Ross/Brand affair. I was one of the 42,000+ who complained about it on the BBC website. If those two performers can't control themselves, then it's up to the BBC to do it for them. It was a step too far!!

I found that story annoying too, who was really bothered about it??? Did you also notice that most of the complaints about the show came in after the media had made a big thing about it. Probably by people who had never even heard the show, but wanted to get in on it LOL

Hey just a quick note that may intrest you in regards to the comment you made in the vid about blue screen. There is a great little editing program called ulead that can do blue screen with a touch of a button.Also the great thing about it is that its cheap! £40 from pc world online store.I have done some things with it. But i have yet to post them on youtube! Enjoyed this video as per usual! Great stuff!
