@SweetJoyBG Well actually, Battler's sin was when he made a promise to Shannon. He said he would come back the next year riding on a white horse but then due to the death of Asumu and his father getting re-married to Kyrie, he did not come back for at least 6 years, which broke Shannon's heart. Since Beatrice transferred the seed of love for Battler from Shannon to herself, she wanted revenge for what Battler had done. And Beatrice is actually Kinzo's daughter Yasu, who was born due to incest.

pFT! This is sooooooo much better then deens, they are getting lazy, and I mean really lazy!!! In many parts i just wanted to kill myself beacuse they removed to much improtnat, or I wanted to kill deen.

I can't believe that they removed Krauss figt, and the part when Battler was walking around in the house, the battle between Beato and Battler were much more dramatic, they removed Dreamenddischarger and! the part when battler and Beato hold each other! WTH!! Deen removed everything importnat

Awesome dub! I really enjoyed this :D I really loved Beato's voice, especially when she whispered, "Just who...am I?" it was so convincing~ Lip syncing was also pretty good^^ 5/5

This is a good dubbing the girl did a really good job and the guy did ok, but the reason he didn't do it nicely is because his voice nor his way of speaking fits battler. With a little more practice from the guy he could do some other role really well because the talking was actually pretty accurate to the cartoon mouth movement.

I blame the director, Chiaki Kon.

She is the one who screws up any anime adaptation of anything that is placed under her direction.

But as an adaptation, then no.

No she did not.

Higurashi suffered as many cuts as Umineko, or maybe more. This led to Ryukishi07 stepping in and forcing them to make an exclusive arc containing all the plot devices Chiaki Kon probably thought they could insert into the regular story like they were nothing when the time arose.

Higurashi was lucky.

Umineko may not be as much.

I was about to say this.

And honestly, Chiaki Kon kinda missed the point of Higurashi's VN and turned it into something completely different. It wasn't a horror novel before, it was a mystery that contained some gruesome murders, like Umineko. But the Higurashi anime really only stood out because it contained killer lolis committing atrocious murders.

And if there will be a Chiru season...so much Battler and Beato characterization was ruined that it wouldn't make sense, extra arc or not.
