Is it just me, or does everyone think SNL was awesome when they were 18, and everything after that sucked?

It doesn't matter how old you are... the show loses something when you get into your twenties... and really starts to suck when you're in your 30's.

@hossrex I don't know, I loved SNL episodes from before my time, especially Kevin Nealon's weekend update stint. I liked plenty of newer stuff with Will Ferrel. It's not that the show gets bad, its that new comedians tend to use SNL as their springboard which usually means that the show has brief periods of hilarity and longer periods where all that's left are the dregs that are going nowhere.

I guess all I was trying to say is everyone loves SNL in their early twenties, and hates the new stuff by their thirties. I still love the 90's Phil Hartman, Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, David Spade, and Norm McDonald stuff, but whenever I talk to someone five years younger than me (I'm 32), they always love the stuff way after I lost interest. Talk to someone ten years younger than me, and you've probably found someone who loves all this new crap.
