It is Crazy to Think that Wilson Won this Fight as the Boston Announcer has a Better View. Plus a few Seconds is Missing but not the Left Hand of Stan Johnathan Landing not Missing Ben Wilsons Face. It us a few Quality Shots that Land that Count not a Barrage of Helmet of Facial Side Shots. We need to See Behn Wilsons Face afterwards.
What a tough SOB Jonathan was He could throw them with both hands
He was 5ft 7-8 inches but he feared no one. I had the pleasure of playing with Stan in Dayton, OH back in the days of the IHL. You could tell he was something very special.
@MrJuha82 again you're fooled by Bruin announcers.... Wilson early, middle, and late. Completely in control of fight from start and hammered Jonathan with at least 15 to 20 shots. I give full credit to Jonathan for remaining standing through this one but he was completely outclassed and punished here
He smiled all right , he was thanking Behn wilson for not killing him...he probably said I wanna suck yr cock Behn "Thank-you, I love you"...just like all Boston males wanna do.
Morningman33 is a Stupid Ass Dickhead! If you were to see the video in it's entirety, you would have seen that Stan Jonathan held his ground against "Big Ben" Wilson. In fact, at the 0:40 mark of the video, Stan Jonathan was actually smiling at Behn Wilson, a sign that you showing no fear!
How about if we see Little Bitch Bobby Clarke getting "Laid Out" by Brad Park.
I agree that Stan won a close fight too, but Behn was only 6'3. However Jonathan might have been listed at 5'8, but that's only if he was measured on skates. Don Cherry used to say that he was 5'7 with shoes on. There was definitely about an 8 inch height differential, and about 40 pounds.
Check out Wensink and Wilson.I didn`t see any knock down or out in this fight,O`Reilly and Holmgren,Bridgemen and Jonathan,O`Reilly and Schultz,Jonathan and Dupont,All very good fighters on both side but i don`t think that Boston lost too many.
@openedup09 yeah wensik beat wilson, it was one of only 2 losses out of 52 for wilson as a flyers, but wilson also beat o'reilly twice, and when bridgman fougth o'reilly he POUNDED him for the 1st half of the fight and was pretty much done with the fight at that point and o;reilly was pretty embarassed at that point and kept throwing and ended up knocking him down at the end but in my eyes bridgman got the W vs o'reilly, bridgman vs jonathan was even, maybe edge bridgman ...cont
@openedup09 all in all trhey were both very tough teams and some of the toughest teams to ever player, schultz, bridgman and wilson were all very good fighters, along with jonathan and o'reilly, holmgren was real good fighter too but wensink was good too, each team had great fighters and very tough players, there is no tougher team in my mind
Another Flyer massacre of a Boston piece of crap...at the 26 second mark Wilson almost knocks him out, but holds him up to continue the typical Boston tradition of being a Flyer punching bag.
That was a classic battle between two classic brawlers.Gillies beat Jonathan which there should have been maybe one more but didn`t happened.O`Reilly beat Gillies twice and lost twice and call the fifth one even.Gillies lost to Wilson once and call it a draw on the other.Jonathan tied Wilson twice.Wilson beat O`Reilly twice.Jonathan or Wilson was probaly the toughest in that era as if it was a pure death match.
@openedup09 . Gillies clearly beat Wilson in their first fight. Fotiu also whipped Wilson's ass. Let these guys take off their helmuts and then we can talk about tough.
Fotiu was much older than Wilson, but I agree he won clearly. Behn was a 20 year old kid, and Nick was one of the most feared heavyweights at the time. Nick didn't fight much because very few guys wanted to fight him. He had great hands and fought like a boxer back when most hockey fighters were pure brawlers.
I'd rank Wilson higher on the all-time fighter list than Stan, because he was young here and Stan was a cagey veteran, but Stan is tops pound for pound followed closely by George McPhee. Wilson is top 5 all time, and Jonathan is somewhere between 10-15 in my opinion.
This scrap is just one more example of why Jonathan is often described as the best pound for pound fighter ever -- in with a much bigger opponent, he ties up up Wilson's uppercut, slips punches and lands a barrage of lefts. Wilson didn't land a solid punch in the fight. Decision Jonathan!
take another look Ray Charles; Jonathan isn't supposed to use his chin and jaw to"slip" Wilson's punches. Jonathan beat up on a large somewhat timid french guy as his claim to fame -- punches landed Wilson 25, Jonathan 6. Good punches Wilson 15, Jonathan 1. You should take a peek at Jonathan fighting Gillies and then look up the words best, fighter, ever in the dictionary -- Gillies and Wilson are both easily top 10; Jonathan may sneak into the top 1000 if we include some convents
What's the matter, Justice? Jonathan punch out one of your heroes and you hate the guy so much you can't see straight? Wilson may have THROWN a lot of punches, but didn't land a solid one.
Yeah, Gillies steamrolled Jonathan, whom he outweighed by 50 lbs; but Jonathan lost very few. Now why don't YOU take a peek at Gillies getting hammered by O'Reilly, losing to Gare, Byers, etc and Wilson getting pummeled by Fotiu, embarrassed by Hector Marini and decked twice in the same fight by Wensink!
justice and catleticos are two dumb fur traders from Quebec who like to have oh so gay sex with "each utter" in their tent in the Laurentian Mountains.
Is it just me or is You Tube the main fourm to show all the Bruins getting their asses handed to them-Neely, Johnathon, Wensink, Cashman, O'Rielly (aka The Human Punching Bag), Jay Miller etc.
So you reference ONE fight with Neely as your "evidence" and you make a ridiculous statement that "Every fight.. O'Reilly gets pummled"... You're a clown dude and obviously a Bruin HATER. O'Reilly would and probably did kick your favorite players ass. Everyone regards Terry as one of the toughest to ever play the game. Like I said- It's just you, dude. Hate on loser.
I can tell from all the spelling mistakes you must be a loser habs fan. Next time try finishing elementary school before coming to post your comments. Why don't you go and see the beating little Stan gave to Pierre "fifi" Bouchard. Or have a look at the knockout of Garth Butcher by Troy Mallette. I can go on and on but it is probably past your bed time.
Stan never lost a fight except when he fought Larry Robinson, K Walker, C Gillies, Chris Nilan(2nd), Gary Howatt, Behn Wilson, Burt Wilson, A Dupont, M tremblay, D Schultz.etc... His only major win was againt Bouchard who was a bad fighter rarely fought and rarely won. Also he was good on cheap shot.
Sounds like a habs fan to me. If you don't like the guy, fine. But give him his due. Nearly all of his fights were the equivolent of a middleweight boxer taking on a heavyweight. I respect the hell out of that.
Tough to call this one good go by 2 of the toughest guys ever to play. Stan never lost a fight ,always stayed on his feet wilson and oreilly split all there fights
He never lost a figth except when he did ( he lost several like they all do)...you are not gay unless you are near guys, and... you are a pretty nice guy except that one time when you beat that four year old girl!
In a clearer video of the same fight you'll see that Gentle Behn rattled Jonathan's puss with a solid right. Stanley J didn't lose many fight but he was outgunned in this one.
He stilled faired pretty well considering it was behn wilson. Behn had a hard, accurate right that broke a lot of bones over the course of his short career. Stan took it and smiled at the end of the fight. Gotta love that little Indian lol.
Jonathan won on points.Ben wilson rarely lost.He was a tough man but Jonathan was probaly the toughest pound for pound player in history.Tie Domi was there to but not in Jonathan league.
I agree video sucks. Looks like Jonathan held his own, but decision would have to go to Wilson based on connecting on more shots due to greater height and reach
what a bunch of homers here!
Wilson won that fight.
