I read where the $1M is actually a 40 year annuity. It's not $1M cash. Personally I think instead of just 1 winner there should be a top 10 act variety show in Vegas. I would fall asleep in the first 5 min. of a Michael Grimm show if I was forced to go see him.
AGT did the losers a favor. The losers can now choose their own agents and not be locked in a year long contract with Simon Cowell pulling the strings which I believe is the mastermind behind this. I know many agents and talent scouts have been watching all along. With American Idol, isn't the runner up usually the most popular? Michael Grimm will be easily forgotten. He's boring. If the AGT execs chose him it's because he'll be the least expensive to keep. It's all about money.
Well.. another MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT this year. The final two should have been Prince Poppycock and Jackie. PPC should have won because he has superior all-around talent ... singing, creativity, showmanship and vision. Jackie has the truest talent but it's one dimensional and even in 2nd place she will have a lifelong career in which she will be very famous and very prosperous.
