  • don't waste money fixing this place ...move to Auckland it's the real deal and you don't have to put up with Bob the mouth piece Parker

  • you know that feeling when you go on a holiday to christchurch on the day before the earthquake. i had that feeling and yaknow, that feeling pisses me off

  • I GOT OFF WORK EARLY AND SHOOTERS IS GETTING DEMOLISHED!! I FUCKIN LOVE EARTHQUAKES!

  • Seen any Chemtrails lately New Zealand?

  • absolutely over rated hysteria. The city was not devastated, as it was not flattened, people did not die in their tens of thousands.

I was there. Stil am, I have NO intention of moving out of town. My house was totally untouched. I regard the journalistic hype as completely irresponsible, and my trust in them has dropped accordingly

  • i live here... :-(

  • Good to see Christ is looking after Christchurch.

    Oh wait..

  • shooter.. looks like a ghost town..

  • One week on & the aftershocks here are still pretty much constant.

  • its HAARP weather modification weapons.

  • God bless Christchurch

  • well guess what. i didnt even know this happend till i heard my nan had a heart attack and died. shez living ( or must i say / she was ) in christchurch.

  • lol i slept through the whole thing!!!!!!

  • That's terrible news. Though on the bright side, nobody has been killed so far, you won't have radioactive fire tornadoes on top of all that (like I heard the area around Chernobyl had not too long ago), AND saradominswordrule isn't in the area.

Wonder if the system causing those 130km/h winds was the same one that caused the 120km/h winds over here on east coast Australia.

Hope our government helps with the repairs, clean-up etc.

  • TimMoor81 ..Err What's the big deal you ask???? Errr..the big deal is that 'Jobs will be lost' or postponed, millions of taxpayer dollars will have to be spent rebuilding. Next month John Keys GST increase is gonna hit all NZers hard, particularly those in and around C.C ! ..we could go on and on ! Errr where are you having a shit at the moment by the way. All of the houses down my brothers street have no power yet and no running water because of the burst pipes. Can He borrow your toilet?

  • I live in Christchurch with my young family and while the last week has been a little inconvenient I certainly wouldn't have said that we where in a state of emergency.

I'd have to agree with ThatAustralianBloke comments that there have been father greater tragedies in the world than a few buildings being condemned.

No one died, so whats the big deal?

  • i like how people think that if no one dies its not a state of an emergency, something is wrong with you people. its a miracle that no one was killed! also peoples homes, businesses ect are now destroyed and buildings could colapse at any second killing people!!

  • they better not put up a bunch up boring glass boxes in the place of those once beautiful buildings

  • huh largest of the century? 7.1 - 2003 fiordland, 7.2 - puysegur trench 2004, 7.8 - fiordland 2009. i think you mean most damaging. i dunno why people keep going on about when the big one hits when we've been having some of the biggest on record. and chch isn't sitting right on the fault line O_o wellington isn't even right smack bang on the fault line. pay no attention to sensationalists.

  • Over reaction on the state of emergency. No one died or any serious injuries, so it's not like the hospitals would be over worked with casualties, so why the cancellation of non urgent surgery?

Highly suspect invocation of the state of emergency. The biggest inconvenience is that people have to boil their water and some buildings "MIGHT" fall down spontaneously...how is that a state of emergency?

  • @ThatAustralianBloke because the basics of living are in question. People need to be given emergency aid.

  • LOL the mayor of christchurch @ 0.42 sounds like an aussie !!!! now thats weird

  • @zebbyone

    does not

  • man that was crazy 7.1 mg n the city is fukd up bad n 100,000 hom3s damaged how did we get so lucky that nobody died

  • The fuck is with the opening host's accent? New Zealander's don't sound like that at all. Sounds like she has a fucking cock in her mouth.

  • @imSNIFFLES it's an australian news show.

  • @imSNIFFLES

Thanks for insulting our accent ;_; lol

  • @imSNIFFLES shes aussie i think,

  • @imSNIFFLES dude shes aussie, its not that bad of an accent? what are you? American. If so you sound like you have something up ur nose, if your english. You sound like a pussy.

  • @SandzIBlitz I'm a kiwi, real kiwi, no ruggers in my blood, son. It makes sense that she's aussie, that would explain why she sounds like a noonga. Don't make a laugh, boy, you're the only American here.

  • @imSNIFFLES the funny thing is im aussie... AND Lol don't call me a noonga kid :)

  • @SandzIBlitz I already knew you were an aussie, only an pussy, whoops aussie, would bitch like you do. And your youtube profile says you're from Australia. Noonga.

  • i was fun i loved it i just stood under my door way and enjoyed it.

  • @subman14subman So am i,I cant get over how scarey it was though,Just feels unreal.Im glad no one was hurt aswell but a lot of damage has been made.

  • the Cunt at 0.44 looks like paul hogan - except no where near as cool.

  • @9x19mmProductions Crocodile Dundee...LOL

  • sleeping under one on a bench*

  • i live in auckland duh.... u should read a map insted of sleep under on on a bench ...

  • chch is under martial law atm to keep the looters out atm but it wont suprise me if auckland gets hit buy one or taupo blows its nuts and we have a yellow stone

  • whats scarier is the fact that this isnt even the major earthquake that has been predicted but more of just an indicator of whats to come

  • man i was in this scary as hell.....

  • @randomriddles02 then how are u on the internet

  • @TheTrollracer he can't get off it =3

  • @TheTrollracer because parts of christchurch (most of them) have power now...and im one of them......=)

  • The richtor scale works on the basis of ten fold. So a 3 is ten times larger than a 2, and a 7 is ten times larger than a 6.

  • it is the largest this century, which of course is only ten year old. There have been numerous large earthquakes in New Zealand. Christchurch sits on New Zealands largest fault line which goes through the southern alps. This was always expected at some point. Wellington is NZ's most earthquake proned city, with more than 1000 small quakes there a year. This quake is the 4th largest recorded shake on mainland NZ.

  • dont you guys recon that would be awsome sneakn into the city since there not letting much people in and just loot lol? anyone? it would be like outa a zombie moving theres just no one in town

  • @saradominswordrule Don't even think about it. If you did, you'd be arrested and put in court. It wouldn't be wise, and it would be absolutely stupid to do so.

  • @william59glersh hahaha your gay.. FAGGOT

  • @saradominswordrule I hope you get a 10 magnitude earthquake wherever you live. Right back to you - faggot.

  • @william59glersh HAHAHAHA i live in north island SUCK MY MOTHERFUCKING DICK if you live in south island go kill yourself hillbilly

  • Hoy would you feel if you lost ALL of your family belongings, YOUR house, not being able to go ANYWHERE because of destroyed roads, having sewage going EVERYWHERE, and having NO running water or NO electricity? That's exactly the case for about 30% of the population here. Now get over yourself and have some fucking sympathy. I'll bet you have some relatives here who are in this situation. Or maybe you're just a snob who thinks that nothing can go wrong. Can someone help me out here?

  • @william59glersh we are now in aussie- moved here in april but still have our house tenanted in christchurch- the tenancy agency was shut down until monday, roads were cut and we didn't have the number of our tenant available to know if we had a house left or not until late Sunday afternoon. Not knowing whether to get on a plane or not was one thing- but being and aussie and hearing aussies just say- yeah i heard something about that is another. We are behind you chch- if you need us we are here

  • @izoco Heh - don't worry about it. The only reason I effectively ranted was that "saradominswordrule" started saying that it would be fun to loot in the city, and calling me a gay faggot for ticking him off. He was a North Islander too - sad that he let the whole side down.

  • @william59glersh Thats ok- its sad people like that who have nothing better to do or just don't have the balls to go out and work and make a decent living for themselves- yet they sit on their social welfare benefits and wait for something like this to happen for them to come out and steal everything from people who are 'better off then them'- my message is get off your arse!!! Your country needs you. I know there is genuine people but honestly- help your country before you help yourselves!

  • @izoco Take England's rule away from here and then I'll help my country. It seems people are getting emotionally attached to this conversation. Just remember that we're all slaves to the queen, workers are quite literally in deeper slavery.

  • @saradominswordrule lol what a virgin

  • @saradominswordrule Wow. Do you often act like a piece of shit? This is why I moved from the north island to chch in the first place. I'm ashamed of where I was born and raised right now. You Sir, are an asshat 3> Where I come from up north, if you ask someone the time they would more than likely spit on you, down here they'd give you their damn watch. You proove that point so well, be proud of yourself for that.

Just checked your page, everyone seems to abuse you in comments, funny that.

  • Pfft, we r NOT in lockdown, it's jst the central part of christchurch, ur not allowed in unless ur bussiness is in there, otherwise- ur arrested . The earthquake was bloody scary !

  • Can any-one tell me if NZ has had other earthqaukes in the past?

  • @menjiii01 Yes we have had earthquakes in the past !!!!!!!

  • @menjiii01 Yeah, they have. Christchurch had one 100&sumthing years ago, it was 7.1 on the rictor scale, same as this one . I was in it ! It was so scary .

  • @menjiii01 The largest in NZ was an 8.1. In 1931 the Napier earthquake measured 7.8 and killed 256 people, NZ's worst disaster until the Erabus disaster in 1979 which killed 257.

  • @MrMassdebater This earthquake was 11 times larger than the Edgecombe earthquake of the 1980's.

  • @MrMassdebater Ah ok sorry I was talking to my manager and he was telling me this is the first earthquake in NZ which didnt sound right to me. So this isnt the largest? Also sorry but u seem to know a fair bit about this do you know if earthquakes like this can be predicted ahead of time?

  • i slept through the whole thing lol!!!

  • ahhhhh nuuuuuuuuuu

  • my pet fish died :( all my books fell in his tank. But still its amazing a 7.1 quake and no one killed then a plane crash on the west coast and all nine people die.

  • im in Christchurch and there have been no deaths!! at all

  • MEANWHILE IN PAKISTAN

  • @MMORPguy U spamming troll

  • @MMORPguy who cares about that

  • DER!!!!! Did you watch it? You idiot if you watched it you must have wanted to.....mmmmm!!! Oh I get it you lonley moron, nothing better to do than get on the net and be a DICKHEAD!!!

  • @mjrox1000 take a chill pill mate and wtf are you saying?

  • My big heavy bookcase fell on me in pitch blackness. My head still hurts :-(

  • @4Shadower xox

  • @4Shadower Sorry... but if laughing really really hard at that makes me a bad person... please help me.

  • @4Shadower HAHHAHAHAHHHAHA! Sorry. A lady from my street came out a 7am and said she ran into a wall and broke her nose!!!!!! She was panicing OMG Idiot
