@krjok74 i believe the B button in level, but if the code was activated, then you need to hold y and press start on any level in level select menu.

i don't like what they've done to the speed up music either. I've got Sonic 2 on the Mega Drive/Genesis so i can enjoy the REAL speed up music. I also don't get why they removed the Options screens on the games.

@redhornett The reason was 2 player mode removed and the new save system, these two things are what killed the options screen. In addition left tracks to repeat when entering the codes.

OH GOD I GOT THE 7 CHAOS EMERALD AND BEATED THE GAME IN SONIC 2...

i cant do nothing i can just start a new one or go to the last boss again...

how i can start the game again whit the 7 caos emerald?

@MrShadowxtreme Well its weird as to why sega put a save feature in those games when we can't go back, best bet is to start over enter the level select cheat, input the chaos emeralds cheat, and start from Emerald Hill Zone 1...

What codes need to used to get all the emeralds in sonic 2 (not the sonic 2 play as knuckles) because I can only get 5 out of 7 emeralds in the game.

@sonictom95 Sorry I can't, only debug can be access in Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Level select cheat can't work in S3K for its like Sonic 2, since they edit out 2-player mode from Sonic 3 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles I can't access sound test like i would if it was the Genesis version.

@Sonic2lover Because of 2player mode being removed, also removed sound test. With that can't enter any cheats in the game. The only way would probably be through Action Replay.
