  • Awesome.

  • I listened to this song quite a few times before I realized it was an original composition (even though it is right there in the title. Duh!). This song sounds so cool - especially with the resonator. I think it is easily as good as any of the covers you play. Please more originals if you have them!.

  • This is a wonderful song.

  • You play beautiful

    where's that place?

  • beautiful sound on the guitar what kind of guitar is it? It sounds like you've been playing a while! It almost sounds electric but I don't see any wires and you're out side. Did just one mike record both the guitar and voice?

  • Enjoyed this and your other vidz so much, you are very talented.

Please keep posting more. (dunno how many times I have listened to this)

  • Hey Christine -

I am still learning slide myself, and I was wondering if you might post a tutorial of this song. (Don't really know if you do that, but) It's absolutely beautiful, and I would love to sing and play it myself. Maybe show one cycle of the right handed rhythm, and then just break the left hand down into parts, slowly, cept this time, come a little closer to the camera! haha! Love all your vids, and love your taste. Don't stop playing! I look forward to more videos in the future!

  • terrific. really.

  • i loved ur guitar!! is from some special sign or something? is awesome!!

  • @Sheff437 No overdub here. You might be thrown by the overpowering resonator coupled with the lack of vocal mic.

  • where is this girl located?? she is quite bad-ass!! Im in Austin Texas and would love to play a show with her. If anyone has info let me know. All glories!!!

  • Pizzuti?

  • I love it you are a fine player and singer

  • I can see with one eye a half a mile a way in the dark that you will do just fine on the slide guitar. You have a real touch, and one of the finest voices I've ever heard.

  • seriously hoow much for the guitar you been teasin us with it for so long now used aint it I gotta need

  • hey ms pizuti can you teach I dont guess so hunh dan its a shame I know how to work any tool you put in my hand but cant play the guitar thanks for sharing your talent

  • @midianpart2 You can take guitar lessons and learn how to play one, but that kind of playing can't be taught. Its a "gift to the soul".

  • you worth talkin to or aint you sounds good if you aint worth talkin to then how much for the guitar

  • Wonderful. Nice clean tone. Unfortunately, the strength and volume of the resonator is over powering your vocals. In your case, I would recommend turning the cone to the side lightly and singing directly into the camera (mic). Thank you for sharing. Please stop by my page when you have a chance. Enjoy.

  • @1RoaringMonk Yes! What more?

  • nice

  • Sooo soulful, soo deep, she just never misses.. it just makes me want to throw my electric guitars and amps away and start all over.

  • excellent lovely slide playing you dont have a long way to go you are there lovely to hear a young girl interested in the blues and play it so well with such feeling

  • Amazing. Old school blues are the best!

  • Wow, this is great.

  • I think the resonator really suits you. Thank you for another lovely clip.

  • Man, this song has been running through my head lately. You need to put it on a CD!

  • One request: please re-record it inside so we can hear the lyrics. :^)

  • Great Blues. I have just found you. Im listening from Australia. Do you play slide from any of the Mississippi Delta Greats? Son House, Bukka White etc

  • beautiful! New guitar?

  • That was cool..your voice has such an old school flavor to it. I kind of hear a little Janice, and I mean that as a total compliment.

  • I saw that! I saw a smile at the end! Beautiful....the whole thing....just great. When do you play New England?

  • Very good work - but the resonator is drowning out your voice on this recording - which is a pity. If this is your start in playing slide you clearly have a lot of talent. I've never had the patience to master it myself ...Keep 'em coming. <}:-)

  • That's a mighty fine a'pickin and a singin'. Thanks for sharing!

  • Fine playing and singing!

  • Wow! Beautiful song. You sure don't sound like you just started playing slide.

  • Wow! no way!

Great song! Congratulations, keep the good work!

  • iplay, where do i send you money for your demo tape? Please get a facebook and myspace fan page so we can follow you.

  • Can't hear your sweet voice. :(

  • Great stuff Christine (as usual).

I've been trying to play this over the last week but find it hard to hear what exactly you're playing in the first 16 bars (open G with the odd C chord, but I'm missing the details). Any chance of a tab for this tune? Please?

    Ron

  • Not easy to hear the words, I think the voice is a bit too quiet - or the guitar is too loud. But anyway, it sounds great.

  • Very nice.curious, when did u start playin and how old r u now

  • Very nice. I wish I could hear your voice more clearly though. The guitar playing is excellent.

  • amazing job Christine! you are so gifted

  • I like this :)

  • Hi , it 's a very lovely arrengement !!!

    Love those descending runs!!

Very clean sound with the slide too!

  • Good to see, and hear you again..awesome arrangement for the slide..now you can change your profile name to: "Iplayslidenow"

  • yes indeed, it is a strong start....

  • I really enjoyed listening to your song. Good composition, and excellent playing and singing. Like some others, I would've liked the vocals to be a little louder, but, I guess it's hard to sing over that loud resophonic. Great looking guitar, by the way, and, again, and excellent performance. Thanks for posting.

  • Great job, and I dig the song!

  • Very nice ..lovely authentic sound with the slide guitar ..the natural sound of the live performance done it justice ..Kudos !

  • Another great video

  • Your playing and tempo are flawless. Great song, it is always a pleasure to listen to your new stuff.

  • Glad to see you playing slide, a natural progression in what you are playing. It sounded good.

  • I love U

  • Absolutely superb! Love both the picking and voice...just need to bring the balance up on the latter up so we can hear and appreciate it better. When are you going to go National? You have a fantastic talent, and looks and mystique to match that should take you far in the recording industry! Maybe we'll see you soon on SNL or David Letterman.

  • would love to be able to hear the vocals more, hope you record this in the studio. brilliant brilliant song

  • Someone suggested that someone else should sing but it's such a beautiful voice with a quality all its own. A studio mix would balance out with the playing. The voice gives this song a great feel. It's something I'd want to hear again if heard on radio. Keep writing, original material has more impact than covers and this is very good.

  • Like a breath of fresh air after a long winter - ahhh! LOVE that resonator - haven't seen it since Statesboro blues... keep em coming!!!

  • i love it

  • love it!!

  • Your future will only get brighter and we all get to enjoy the music along the way ....outstanding!!

    Thanks Christine

    Jim

  • You never cease to impress. Well done.

  • That makes my poor singers sit up and look on in sheer admiration. The voice is Beautiful, someone said Joan Baez, yes, but distinctively yours.

You're buliding up quite a fan club on YouTube. All you folks should spread the word. All Christine needs is noticing.

I always mention Patty Griffin because she took so long to get noticed and her first album studio rejected . she asked for it to be released as the raw demo: real music; the rest is history.

  • That should say sore fingers, lol, something about a kewyboard turns me dyslexic.

  • I would say it's an awesome start and I can't wait to see whats comin! Keep it up!

  • Christine, that was just great.

Quite an intricate piece of playing, with the emphasis on the fingerstyle, which in my view, makes it even more difficult to play, rather than the slide.

Your vocals are, as always, great, if a little hard to fully make out maybe because of the nature of the resonator rather than anything you're doing or not doing.

    Love the setting as well.

Looking forward to your next slide blues piece

    Well done, Christine, great performance!

  • Wow! Great to see this new video! Fine work with slide! Can't wait for the next one!

  • Top notch stuff, as usual. That resonator has a great tone.

  • you play with so much feeling for the style ... great, really great, always enjoy your performances!

    Greetings from overseas,

    Lena

  • awesome,...better than me

  • Is this one an original composition?

  • Keep on sliding, it's very well sung and played.

  • Keep on sliding, this is very well sung and played.

  • Dig it,Damn fine playing & singing,great vibe.

    cheers

  • Beautiful playing, there. Wish I could hear the words a little better. But the guitar work was fantastic. ...Bill

  • Excellent. I like everything you do on youtube but this is my new favorite.

  • meraviglioso !

    claudio

  • absolutely brilliant!!!!! sounds like a fusion of all my favourite players. really fantastic

  • You go girl! This kind of videos are what you do best. Keep them coming.

  • i swear i hear some gary davis and john hurt in there... i've seen your other stuff and it's pretty much great all around. You should get international recognition as a blues heritage reviver / keeper-aliver / perfomer

  • Awesome!

  • Just started learning slide?!

I've been playing for years and dont sound that good. Brilliant. Ditto, so happy to see you back, just love your voice and guitar.

  • Hell yeah!! You sound GREAT for someone who just started sliding! Love the tune too. And a nice little chunk of NY in the background... Sigh... Thank you.

  • Fantastic, Love it.

  • She'd definitely be giving Joan Baez a run for her money in the 60's ^_^

  • Soooo happy to see your back! Awesome as always.
