  • 1. it's not tuning at all. 2. who the fuck is this guy? 3. it sounds to me like they picked up some homeless drunk off the side of the freeway looking for change. 4. he can't hold a drumstick right.

  • hi im micheal davis and im drunk

  • lol watch this thing wind up being $200 i buy it if its $50 or less

  • yeah well i still have the monkey that tunes my drums...ITS EXCELLET!

  • I saw a review of the product, and I must say this would be really handy for determining drum's sweet spot. One can so easily change the whole head's pitch without getting it uneven in between. Also the search is faster, as there's 6, 8, 10 or 12 rimes less screwing. Otherwise this is a very useless gimmick, if one knows how to tune drums.

  • THAT IS THE DUMBEST SHIT EVER.

  • Do i need to buy two for my bottom and top head?

  • this guy is stoned!!!!!

  • its not completely useless but, its not substitute for manual tuning, nothing is. This device im assuming tightens each lug simultaneously, but because of manufacturing differences/varying head tension I dont believe that every lug is going to be exactly the same

  • agree!! theres nothing better than learning the real way.

  • agree!!

  • my tom drums sound TERRIBLE compared to this.

  • I ordered these a few months ago, and sent them back. It's a cool product, in theory, but it's such a pain to install. Not worth it.

  • Very NICE please tell me where I can get that item!

  • you couldn't tell any difference

  • UM.... YEAH NO....

  • Me tune drum- boom, boom, boom, boom.

  • put your pinky back in! That kills me dude

  • Acctaully if your computer has good speakers.. this drum does not sound that bad.

you just need speakers with good bass. and the drum sounds pretty good.

so it is showing you that this product is not completly useless.

  • So it turns all of the lugs at the same time?

  • this shit fucking sucks dick

  • It's actually not that bad

  • @MrJordan707 Let me guess.... your speakers don't have bass :)) poor moron.

  • questo sistema e' stato copiato alla diberardinodrums il brevetto e' stato fatto nel 2000 in italia

  • pssss crappy n lazy.. its better to learn the hard way always been lolll --- get to know your drum ppl

  • This guy doesn't explain it very well and is a little lost on his terminology. There is another clip up of a 'real' drummer using it, much better.

  • so learning how to hold a stick is not required to work for drumtech??

  • Usually a sales-pitch requires the salesman not to be half drunk while presenting it.

  • true hes drunk or high or just retarded

  • that tom rings like a bitch

  • that's pretty cool.

  • two words: Bob Gatzen

  • i know him

  • yeah cuz of the tone flare from the bottom head

  • bad heads, nice drum

  • no. it isnt. they both suck, and im not talking about tuning devices. im talking about the sound of that tom. not to mention the torque is is bad because all lugs dont have the exact resistance as others. i have lugs that move like butter and other that are rough to tighten.

  • not at all. for a coated non muffled head with no other drums nearby that thing sounds pretty warm and nice.

  • anyone remember Arbiter drums? they had a built-in one piece tuning system and sounded great.. not sure how this add-on stuff will work though, but all products out there will appeal to someone, even if i don't like it

  • good try but fail mr. michael davis

  • It applies pressure on the screws? Doesn't this system damage the lugs or the screws or, even worse, the shell?

  • way to hit the head in the least resonant spot

  • yeah, let me pay cash for a strap to bend my lug bolts.

  • this is a gimik thing, dont buy this nonsence

  • This product has not been designed by a drummer for a drummer.

Why is there such a big fuss about tuning drum heads??!!

Learn to tune your drums and explore the possibilities.

    If you can't you, shouldn't be playing....PERIOD!!

Buy an amazing looking kit and then fuck it up by putting all this crap on it...GREAT!!!

  • I don't believe any of this.

  • i dont think an automatic tuner will improve anything

but i think that it would be great if they could make a device that tells you if your drums are in tune

    like a guitar tuner

  • The thing about drums that nobody really realizes, is that every drum is different, so when you tune your drums, the tuning is not going to be the same for everyone elses kit. BUT i think that this system is cool to keep all the lugs at the same pitch, so once you figure your drums out, you can use this thing to tune each side the way u want. with a guitar tuner for drums, the tuner would half to know what your drums are like:P

  • i think hes just saying the note because each drum will have a certain note ( so ive heard) or something... I thought a bass tuner would work but didnt really

  • I guess our ears tell us what sounds right.. but I guess you have to know what sound you would like to achieve...

Sound in my opinion is down to personal taste, but there are some notes which are sweeter to the ears than others.

I guess, just listen to your favorite records, and spend many many hours experimenting with the endless possiblitie of SOUND.

Creating your OWN sound will identify you also as a Musician.

  • The sound you create will also speak through your style.

    Who knows..... I don't that's why I'm here.

    Hoping for the answer!

  • we need electronic drum tuning.. flick a switch pick a note.. vupti drums are tuned.. i dont get it if they pull same weight and the drums aren't tuned before u use his thing will it then tune 100% ?

  • "Find a note on the piano...and... uhhh..."

So to do this, you'd have to tune your bottom and top head perfectly, and then use this thing...

  • no you could use it on the bottom too

  • ooooh my bad, i've just read your comment again mate i understand what you meant now.. your right, i'm worng... good point ;)

  • haxx

  • wtf is this shit? if you cant tune a drum you sholdnt have any.beginers will never learn if they have this thing that im sure is expensive and unreliable

  • this just kills the whole tradition of drums, that guy probably cant even play drums

  • I agree, keep the tradition of original drums, these guys are always trying to come up with new useless invention because the concept of drums are so simple to begin with.

  • put oil to your lugs. it eliminates the tension that the rust causes.

  • This looks like the future for drum tuning.. and the next thing will be automated.

    Too bad it's that expensive..

It really isn't, but i just don't have the money for it. If it was 20$ each, i would buy some for the top heads of my drums, and if they were 15 $ i would buy for the bottom aswell, but 36-39 $ is a bit much... though it's an investment for a long period of time.

  • wow. DTS... how origional!!!

  • hah, thats cheating tuning and not all the lugs are always the same and i feel like that isnt good for your drums in the long run, just learn to tune the old fashion way, thats what im doing

  • well, i'm going to bet that all the people commenting on how lame this is are the people who post drum covers on youtube with terrible camera sound quality and horribly tuned drums.you can't possibly sit there and say, "YEAH THIS IS LAZY." NO, this is a better, more efficient way to tune. just like the progression from black and white TV to color/HD TV. it's something we call PROGRESS. and if this made tuning quicker, i would use it so i could spend more time playing/learning rather than tuning.

  • I agree. Until these people are willing to tune a guitar with nothing but a tuning fork and harmonics they can't claim what "cheating" is.

  • haha, i know huh?

FROM NOW ON, EVERYONE MUST USE A TUNING FORK TO BE "NOT LAZY"

  • i dont use a tuner when i tune my guitar... i just tune it to itself or a recording i have of all open strings in perfect tune with multiple tuninings

  • progress for the sake of progress, though, is not a good thing.

  • SOOO LAME!!!!!!! lazy fuck

  • ya fuck that part of being a drumer is learning how to tune the drums and understand and appreciate how to get that tone you want the proper way

it is so true everyone is just so lazzy i personaly will never use something stupid like that that guy looks like an idiot

  • All these lazy people looking for shortcuts.

Drums should be tensioned and tuned using ropes, that's the only true way. Forget them silly screws and keys and whatsamacallem trying to make the thing easier.

  • You need to practice your Match Grip...

    :D

  • I'm sorry I would have to agree that, that is pure laziness. Tuning drums is something you should take pride in. WTF is up with people these days,do they want everything to be push button?

  • wow. tuning drumes aint that hard after a while. i dont see how someone in their right mind would spend 100 for this.

  • Unless of course they are a professional player who gets to a gig real late and has 2 minutes to tune up before playing.

  • ur gonna be turnin something might as well turn a drum key and get it over with dude!

  • HAHA. Buy it, tune your drums, then return it for a full refund.

  • AHAHAH ! COOL :]

  • dont buy. $100 per rim so its $200 per drum

  • I'm getting One!

  • That drumhead sounds like shit.

  • maybe its your speakers...cuz it was perfectly in tune.

  • It could be, laptop speakers aren't the best.

  • it really did

  • What the hell? Where can I get one of those babies?

  • After I spent some learning how to tune drums years ago, I realized that there is no need for fancy tuning contraptions. Good drums stay in tune, and tuning them is easy if you've spent some time learning how. This product makes the most sense for those with money and don't have the time to spend closeup with their drums learning how they work.

  • lol i hear u evryoone needs to get to kno their drums...this was probably invented to comply with the lazy drummers

  • Thats pretty cool!

  • I think I know why this guy is only the drumtech!

  • WOW

    Awesome thing :D

    really useful :)

  • lug nut? it's a tension rod. This guy is awkward and has no idea what he's talking about. Maybe he's nervous? cool product. wish it wasn't so ass rapingly expensive.

  • sweet and tight. lol

  • thats pretty tight, lol, get it
