  • Hey Phee what's better; using a 3.7v device with LR cartos or a 6v device with regular resistance cartos? Is there any real difference?

  • @gwl1983 there's definitely a difference but that line is getting thinner and thinner. its all preference in style, battery life, taste etc. i cannot honestly say which is better. sometimes a juice on HV with a standard is amazing sometimes its burnt and it applies the same with LR and standard. it all comes down to mood, battery life and the overall size of the device for me

  • @phee303 Ok, one last question ... do cartos actually work well at high voltage? I'm wondering if the filler might burn. I've got loads of 2.8 ohm cartos that I wouldn't want to waste. Is 2.8 enough resistance at 6volts?

  • @gwl1983 cartos are awesome at high voltage =] i almost use cartos exclusively on HV the thing is though 2.8 is just a little low, you'll have to experiment, if it burns juice then i'd try and get something thats 5v instead of 6v or if you have a variable voltage mod just dial into a strength that fits best for you ^_^

  • @phee303 fuckin great intro man...

  • @TheDestroyer1219 lol thnx man

  • really happy that it took you 5 minutes to start talking about it...

  • @cpllowson lol

  • i know wat you mean... i got my 5v box from my brother and some how juice got on my booster chip and started draining my battery.. took me awhile to figure it out but i was bummed that i had to cut the chip out and start vaping at 3.7 again...Good thing is that im getting another 5v mod by saturday..

    Yeehaaa vape on

  • @808kid96795 ic ic - i dont have much else to reply about lol, thanks for the view and comment =P

  • You're gonna love the Silver bullet! Chad ( the guy who makes it) is a good friend of mine. and he vaped 12 volts through it and i vaped 8.4v through mine all day yesterday as an experiment. :P So the Silver Bullet will handle anything you can throw at it! Chad even vaped AC current though it! hahahha

  • hahaha i will be thanking Chad in the final followup on the SB. it's almost been a month and the damn thing is just fantastic! super trustworthy and the switch is a freaking monster!

12v? holy shxt how the hell did the atty even take that? i have a couple of 3.7CR123As but i'm scared to blow my atty and the switch.

anyhow, man, yeah, the SB is holding up amazingly and it's kicking the PD's ass (as far as performance goes)

thanks for the view and comment and subscribing! happy vaping!

  • Just a hunch, but is your friend Air Force? Those metal workers can create anything out of that aircraft aluminum! Can't wait to get my SB!

  • Dude your cat is tearing the shit out of your carpet on your stairs! lol. That's why I have a dog! Cool cat though lol.

I'm waiting for my SB to get here Monday. I do like PURESMOKER they kickass but they seem to be having some switch issues. And when I say some I mean a lot! Seems a lot of people are having issues! That's why I went with the SB. I bet you could hook The SB switch up to a car battery and it won't fry it.

    Take Care,

    -Bill

  • hey bill! thanks for the view and comment!

hahahaha yeah my cat be messin' some shxt up lol

definitely agreed, puresmoker's switches are just not good. i've sent in now the 6th switch for repair/replacement and i think i'm just going to stop using my prodigy once i get the replacement back. the SB has been consistently great and now on week three of usage with almost zero problems! that switch on the SB is freaking awesome so far!

  • Wooohoo! I got my SB today! Wow it's shiny! You can use it as a mirror while you shave lol. The switch is very nice! I only have the 3,7v but I ordered some 2x 3v. Even with the 3.7v major throat hit! I'm getting a sore throat. lol. I'm used to hitting my 510 all the time (I am a hardcore vapor). I need to put it down for awhile! I think I will order some lower Nic for the SB..

I'm very happy I went with the SB instead of the Prodigy! SB KICKS ASS!

    Take Care,

    -Bill

  • glad to hear you're liking the SB! man, you're in for a treat when you get those CR123A batteries - i've been completely spoiled by 6v vaping and can no longer go back, i've also grown accustomed to the throat hit so i'm still vaping 24-36mg nic juices at 6v.

that switch is definitely great, sometimes you'll get some misfires with the SB, if that happens just reseat your batteries.

    happy vaping!

  • sorry i accidently removed your last comment, i went to hit reply and slipped and hit the 'remove'.

anyhow, man i know right? high-voltage is definitely the way to go! i'm really glad you enjoy the double 3v batteries, i just cant ever ever go back to 3v and it sucks because there are some really slick standard 3.x mods out there.

    happy vaping!

  • get "THE CHUCK" man. It never fails. Check out the "how to spend a saturday" thread on ECF.

  • thanks for the view and comment!

yeah, i'm not a big fan of the chuck, the button man, that button bother's the living daylights out of me! lol

  • true true lol.button isnt pleasing to the eye.I ordered mine though.(its en route to me now).Im not after esthetics but rather want the gear to work without failing, which for example Puresmoker cannot accomplish (although their products look maaaaaaad nice).

I never tried SB,but it looks great on the vid.Hope you wont have troubles with it.

Forgot to say in the first post: great vid man! thanks!

  • personally the form-factor is what bothers me about the chuck, that button looks like it'll get pressed when in my pocket very easily. i have a feeling that the SB won't fail on me, the button seems extremely sturdy and well assembled! i know the chuck is a great PV, just not the PV for me.

  • Nice review as always. I heard the switch dies all the time. Im thinking about getting the silver bullet, its a little pricey though lol.

  • thank u! thanks for the view and comment!

yeah, PS PD's (in my experience) switch is a bit on the weaker side. the silver bullet isnt that pricey for a high-voltage device; silverbullet is $99 for base kit, the exact same basekit (no batteries, chargers, atty) for the prodigy is 94.99, throw in a lincoln bill and it's the same price as the silver bullet =P

now the adaptever is expensive and so is the trog SD; anyhow, so far so good, silverbullet is holding up well.

  • Lol true. I think i will save for this now haha. The BB's about to come out but i think this one looks better/ will work better since you have the 6V option.

  • does the BB have a 6v option? i thought it was only 3.7?

  • No I meant the silver bullet is good since it had the 6.v option. "The BB uses 14500 Batteries for 3.7v (900mAh)and has a unprotected 6v

option (which we don't recommend)". Thats what rob said atleast so i wouldn't do unprotected. So I think i like silver bullet better lol.

  • ohhhh, hahaha ic ic. anyhow, so far, so good - the silver bullet is holding up, three more weeks of testing!

  • 5 stars for the cat at 9:17 haha

    keep up the great reviews/videos

  • hahaha she almost never gets in my videos, snuck in this time lol

thanks for the view, comment AND rating hahaha

  • 1969

I just ordered the altsmoke BB

I hope its just as good as the SB!!

  • nice, year of the monkey.

the BB is a low voltage device though isnt it?

  • we have the same birthday

    Happy BD Man

We probally have alot in common
