@tanoAE86 I let out way early. I didn't have the safety gear I needed to go quicker than 11.5 . On a good pass the car went 11.0@131 with a crappy 60 foot time. We had a good set of tires on it for a test at Irwindale and went in the low 1.6's , on this day, couldn't get it out of the high 1.7's.

You have to give the civic credit. He was outmatched. The GTR had the advantage off the line with the all wheel drive but for the first two geers or so the civic wasn't too far behind the R. But after 3rd gear on the R, the civic was definitely not a match. Not a bad race though.

straight from Japan and differrent varieties of jdm cars......with low kms...

R32 gtr's are worth about 9k to 12k canadian

MKIV supra's twin turbo are about 16k to 20k canadian

There are some other videos on here. I have a 2 step setup in the AEM, but I think it was around 5000 rpms. A pretty stock GT-R needs about 6000-6500 rpms to come off the line. Between bogging and boiling, you are better to boil the tires, its faster than a bog.

I let out early. MPH is speed over the last 66 feet, so if you are slowing down, then it will show low. Later/ Earlier the car did 131 mph in the quarter.

There were Autech 4 door R33 GT-R's. I don't know if I ever saw a real number on them, but I have seen a few for sale. The 2.0 liter motor I have never messed with. Its not something I would personally waste my time with. Giving up 1/2 liter of displacement is a lot. If you are going with a 2.0 liter engine go with an all aluminum SR20. More compact engine. The 2.6 is already pretty small for an inline 6.

The inline 6 is balanced, but its heavy. The SR is aluminum block and head. The weight is further back, as it doesn't have those other two cylinders out front.

well im on a budget and i got this from off a a friend who bought a brand new n1 motor(he put on a tomei pump before he put his motor in) so ill see how this pump goes before i can argue with you on that topic..but yea this turbo is good for 640hp and im aiming for around 5-550whp. i dont need anymore then that on this island(Nassau, Bahamas)

61 compressor 62mm turbine..mods are .20 over pistons, n1 oil and water pumps, tomei oil restrictor kit, ati race pully, greddy 264s and a power fc

N1 oil pumps have a problem. Every single one I installed in the last 2 years has failed. I only use Tomei , HKS , or Nismo oil pumps now. Tomei preferred. N1 water pump is fine. I saw SP was using twin 6262 on their 350z to make over 1000 whp. Depending on your goals, should work out ok for around 500 whp.

well im in the process of putting a percision sp6162 on my car. Im hoping to get a pretty responsive car with this turbo. i just hop it doesnt choke up top. Sry for all the questions ive owned the car for just over a year and have yet to launch it.

The first gears don't generally break. The front diffs do sometimes, depends on how hard the car hooks off the line. 6500 rpms isn't really that big of a deal. They normally come off the line fairly smooth.

Stuff breaks when you race. If you don't want to break anything, don't race. Now launch RPM on a GT-R needs to be at least 6500 rpms or it will bog off the line.

I've seen Japanese tuners guys launch with 2nd gear and launch near redline. Would this be a better option than 1st gear hard launch? Less chances of shattering the gearbox/clutch/driveshafts?

You might be able to do it with a Getrag as 1st gear is pretty steep 3.8 vs 3.2 in R32/R33 . 2nd gear with the Getrag is 2.3 vs 1.9 with the R32/R33 . The overall ratio for the R32/33 is 4.11 and R34- Getrag is 3.54. Even with an aggressive launch, I think it still might bog off the line.

That pass it did 1.805 60 foot , 7.62 at 97.29. Best that weekend. 1.899 60 , 7.27 at 105 and 11.07 at 131.  At Irwindale 1/8th mile a few weeks before I did a best 60 foot of 1.61 on a 7.29 at 99 1/8th. The tires on the car were really hard.
