  • It doesn't have to be "authentic".If you make it functional it will do just fine in a zombie outbreak.

  • Where can I get one? I don't care if it's authentic. I just want one!

  • @Aerlenbach Use a hoe instead.

  • Kan je dat ook met de Schoonmaak bezems op school? :p

  • hahaha en dat is mijn concierge

  • I love it, this is a true Monk's spade form. I just learned one and it's wonderful. A truely unique and magnificent weapon!

  • A nice form and a nice weapon. Does that spade work well in the garden, though? Or can you do it with a generic western gardening shovel?

  • can any authentic spades be purchased in the Us?

  • Depends on what you mean by authentic. Getting one made by an actual monk or someone who made/makes them for monks? Probably very very difficult. Getting one that's made out of suitable steel, in the correct dimensions, durable and ready for use? Probably a lot less. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head who makes them, but there's a lot of guys who make blades who take orders on the internet. There's definitely some who can put one of these together.

  • the weapon is produced by the weapon smith of the shaolin village in henan province?

  • Where do you get a Shaolin Spade? Where do you purchase one? I study the Shaolin Arts, and I lack the major monk material.

  • Hi there,

We personally buy our weapons from a martial arts weapons store in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We also have quite a few training weapons that were made by a weapon smith in the Shaolin Village (when it still existed) in Hedan, China.

Lots of stores sell crappy martial arts materials and weapons. Let me have a look if I can find any good online stores for you that ship from the United States and I'll get back to you!

  • I'm very much obliged to the help you offer me. I've been searching for a while now for the authentic stuff, online and through stores that sell hand-to-hand combat weaponry, without any direct answers on where to get the good, truly battle ready kind.

    Thanks again, friend.
