Nice video but I don't think this song was about kids. In addition to Annie waiting in general, I think the idea is that Annie is a woman that has been searching and searching and is starting to get older and still hasn't found The One and is starting to get older and wonder if she ever will find The One. The woman in a video for this song needs to be in her 30s.

Every song is open to interpretation just like every poem or storybook. Sure Ben Folds wrote it and had his own idea, but this song is pretty timeless. To me it sounds like a guy who blows it over and over again and finally the girl, Annie, gets fed up and moves on... or does she?

I really like this video and I would also say it's tastefully done. I buy the "Ben Folds" and the Annie 100%. The only thing I'd say is the kid doesn't look like he's old enough to drive. But it's a great vid; one of the best on youtube.

Let me amend myself somewhat. I did notice a few technical errors from "Ben Folds" piano playing, most notably the use of the una corda instead of the damper pedal. Also, I don't really buy the ending to this. It is supposed to be an unhappy ending. The line is "Annie waits, but not for me." But overlooking these two main problems, it's still a great video.

Umm hello people, why vote down his comment when.... *gasp* he's right! Assuming the guy playing the piano wasn't just for some reason wanting to use the damper pedal in the song (which we couldn't hear), he was using the wrong one. Also know that the chords the person is playing doesn't change the right way. 2nd measure of the song is supposed to be all the same chord, but no, he plays again the supposed last chord of the previous measure again.
