@dilpickle31198 u mean lions? and if u hate cats, then don't come here to see a vid of a cat and a bird and lions and tigers ARE cats, just bigger and more predator-like.
My cockateil, Synder, makes those "kissy" noises too! I just wish we would stop yanking his feathers... -_-;
Yes, I take perfect care of him. The only problem is, is that there is no other birds to chill with while I'm at school so he gets bored and plucks his feathers. It gets really annoying.
That's why you purchase things like "BIrd toys" from local Pet stores. Or, if you already have tons of toys for him, maybe you should re-arrange his cage.
@BrettHuestisChannel No srsly, they're the only animals I know to look left and right before crossing the streeth, won't get lost easily and can remember who is nice to them.
@NodDisciple1 cat's usually aren't interested in smaller animals until they start moving/flying. Since the cockatiel is just sitting there the cat is just curious and not in a playful or aggressive state
@jojo386769 - it's likely been a house cat for most of its life, and house cats are used to eating small pellets and processed cat food. They don't see large moving things as food.

@DeanLyman "he likes to talk, he's a sweetheart, they were never left alone together and I always kept a close eye on them. The cat IS NOT DEAD! it was my brother's cat, he left with it!"
Shortly after I adopted my 1st Schnauzer, who was quite mellow I must add, I came home from work to find my cockatiel less than a foot in front of the dog singing to him. I did't dream the bird would leave his cage, let along go and introduce himself to what could have been his end.
Well, I don't know about cockatiels, but I've heard that budgies can become incredibly daring around other animals (sometimes suicidally so) once they become comfortable in a home. Cockatiels seem pretty bold, so perhaps they're similar?

if u love ur bird,dont let that happen again,the saliva from the cat WILL kill the bird,same with dog saliva,its like poison to them an they will end up dieing in 24 houres,u need to be smarter.
I have a cockatiel that is going on 23, he grew up with a cat and barks like a dog when someone is at the door. I broke his wing when I was six and he was 10 and he has never learned to fly since but he's still super brave and takes the odd jump to go exploring, and he's still sexually active with his plastic doll toy, so I figure he'll probably live to be about 30-35 =) Hopefully anyways. He's watching me type this right now and chewing on my morning toast lol.
A bite or a scratch will do that, but I don't think licking will. I'll have to ask a breeder or a vet about that. However, it'd be nice if you'd be more polite about it.
why didn't you like the cat? ..as the bird I mean; maybe that would have changed their relationship into a more beautifull one too. here it appears to me like they are influenced by you giving + to the bird and - to the kitty.
