You know I grew up in Eastern Kentucky and have been to West Virginia many times. While it's true someone with no wilderness training can still get lost in those woods let me just point outs there's usually a hollow, or road or town every 15 miles even in the state parks.

The Wendigo starts out as a spirit roaming what territory he claims and when a human in that territory commits cannibalism, the Wendigo spirit enters that human body and forces the human soul out. Basically he kills the human and takes the body for himself. Afterwards, that once human body becomes that hideous monster.

@Elfulcrum777 No, for two reasons. One, a Wendigo can heal itself after taking that kind of damage. You can burn it all you want with anything you want and it'll just get back up again and get angry. Second, Wendigos are too smart for traps. One of them is probably nearby, laughing at you right now for that idea.

But seriously, faith isnt enough. You'll have to back it up with strength of your own, even if it means killing another creature. When you're up against a Wendigo, it's either him or you. It's a thing called the Law of Survival. You don't want to be lunch, do you? I dont think so. Hahaha.

@Elfulcrum777 Let's see...I saw him through a pair of binoculars on the other side of this huge lake. he looked similar to the one in this video but with bigger claws, an extremely scrawny body, massive teeth, glowing red eyes, his face caked in blood, and a veiny, bloody hole in his head, like he had just taken a bullet there. He didn't exactly see me, but he felt someone watching him, then he hissed and growled in my direction, then I go home. Havent seen a real one since. That was years ago

Of course, for a long while, I've researched the Wendigo in any safe way that I could and I've used what I remember about my Wendigo. I've learned a lot and I try and watch others' backs in case they try anything stupid with it, like your "kill it with acid" thing.

man ever since october when i first watch this i'm still scared of the night because the wendigo that i'm afraid of and i live close to the woods and i had 2 go out there to throw the garbage into the dumpster which is like 3 times longer than an average neighborhood home driveway and the dumpster is like 4-5 yards close to the woods. and i'm in northwest minnesota and the wendigo profile said that it was seen in northern minnesota. this episode still haunts me today because the look of wendigo.

@DarkEcoMaiden lol , believe me, i know there are plenty of things beyond nature, i'm Christian, don't know if you believe in God but i do, and i've seen my share of weird ass crap, demons, unnatural events, spirits, there is a whole other dimension that we cant see, but its there just like we cant see air, but we can feel it , this one time i ran into a creature much worse than any wendigo, it was huge, lizard/insect like, i could tell it wanted to harm me, but my faith saved me..no joke

Of course, if you run into a Wendigo and find that out the hard way, don't come crying over spilled milk to me. Because I tried to get it through your head.

@Elfulcrum777Well, I've seen a real Wendigo and I got lucky and got away undetected. And I know a few people who are familiar with the monster and I asked around. So, technically, it's both.
But seriously, faith isnt enough. You'll have to back it up with strength of your own, even if it means killing another creature. When you're up against a Wendigo, it's either him or you. It's a thing called the Law of Survival. You don't want to be lunch, do you? I dont think so. Hahaha.

@DarkEcoMaiden I agree, you need faith and strength, i personally am not afraid to kill in order to defend myself or the people i care about, thankfully i've never had to face such situations yet, but in some cases i have felt like it would end up that way.. since you saw a real wendigo tell me what exactly does it look like? can you describe it in detail?

@Elfulcrum777 Let's see...I saw him through a pair of binoculars on the other side of this huge lake. he looked similar to the one in this video but with bigger claws, an extremely scrawny body, massive teeth, glowing red eyes, his face caked in blood, and a veiny, bloody hole in his head, like he had just taken a bullet there. He didn't exactly see me, but he felt someone watching him, then he hissed and growled in my direction, then I go home. Havent seen a real one since. That was years ago

@Elfulcrum777 It's possible. Problem is I dont remember the name of the place where I was when I saw him. It's been so long and I had forgotten about it until this Lost Tapes episode aired on tv and I saw this Wendigo.
Of course, for a long while, I've researched the Wendigo in any safe way that I could and I've used what I remember about my Wendigo. I've learned a lot and I try and watch others' backs in case they try anything stupid with it, like your "kill it with acid" thing.

I'm sure if you think hard you could probably remember, sorry i just find this interesting, what i saw was a little bit closer , i mean way closer, i was sitting in my little mitsubishi pick up truck warming it up in my driveway( farm house driveway) and then at the corner of my eye i saw something move behind the truck, and felt it move, i looked back and saw the tail of a large scaly thing

@DarkEcoMaiden no i don't think your crazy at all, like i described in my last comment, I've experienced some weird encounters as well, for example my old house was on top of a Native burial ground, and we (me and my family) would see or hear paranormal spirits all the time, so i know exactly how it feels to see this stuff, I've never seen something like you described though so i am intrigued

It's just that every time I've trusted someone with the stories of my encounters with weird things, they went and blabbed about it and made me an even bigger freak to the world that I already am. @Elfulcrum777 Well, aside from seeing a Wendigo, I've heard ghosts talking, I was haunted in my sleep by Jack the Ripper, and I used to go out at night and feed what seemed like a Hellhound. Was probably just a stray black dog though.

@DarkEcoMaiden Trust me that is not jack the ripper, its a Demon taking his form, I've had something similar happen to me, but it took the form a famous saint , form my country, but i found out after i converted that it was actually keeping me sick " i had asthma for a while, but the moment me and my family prayed and cast it out , it stopped i was fine again , Demons take on many forms, this includes, celebrities , serial killers, Aliens(sometimes) or long dead relatives, they cant be trusted

I thought that the wendigo was a creature like humans but different chose a different thing to hunt larger prey. but i read some where tat they rarely travel to far south or North. and stay away from caves and don't split up. maybe then they would have had a better chance.

man ever since october when i first watch this i'm still scared of the night because the wendigo that i'm afraid of and i live close to the woods and i had 2 go out there to throw the garbage into the dumpster which is like 3 times longer than an average neighborhood home driveway and the dumpster is like 4-5 yards close to the woods. and i'm in northwest minnesota and the wendigo profile said that it was seen in northern minnesota. this episode still haunts me today because the look of wendigo.
