Kikuno's still a young fighter developing, as is Alvarez. Eddie is also "one of those guys fighting in Japan". I love how he, because he's American, is used to devalue anyone not fighting in the UFC, despite making his name in Japan and never fighting in the UFC.

The UFC owns almost all the divisions, but not lightweight. Their are great lightweights everywhere. The UFC have some, Dream have some, SF have some and Bellator have some. Lightweight is a toss-up worldwide.

This was one Kikuno's poorest performance, he is normally much more precise.

Irrelevant, he did lose. He will be back; and Alvarez himself said Kikuno was one of the best fighters he ever faced. Expect Kikuno to become more then just 'another Japanese fighter'.

I reckon he will make his face in Strikeforce soon.

Kikuno is tough that's not an easy fight for Eddie. I don't think that he put up a bad performance or looked all that bad, it's just that Kikuno is good and very underrated.

man I hate that neck crank! got caught in it once, I was able to fight through it, take my opponent down while, got side control while I was still caught in it, but it's really hard to breath, gassed out, got mounted, he was able to crank it more, and that finished me. Had the worst neck ache the next day lol

If you watch the Diaz vs inoue he uses the high wide arms like kikuno but Nick actually uses it the right way not like kikuno. He was too much on the defence getting tagged alot. Kikuno was using that axe kick alot but his hands were just hanging there.

I read the Dream producer's comments and they actually expected a lot more out of Kikuno in this match up. I personally don't like the Frankenstein looking style Kikuno uses, it just annoys me.

The ufc should of picked up alvarez I like his style and his fighting skills hes not afraid to bang. Hes got good stand up and good takedowns and submissions. He also is very good at getting in and out and not getting hit he impresses me everytime I watch eddie fight.

if he had tripped Eddie onto his back they would land in a crucifix/neck crank position. Kikuno would be sitting up and leaning backwards facing his legs one way while eddies lying on his back with his neck being cranked and legs in the opposite direction. haha hard to explain... hurts a lot though.

imagine kikukno keeps those underhooks but is sitting on his butt leaning back while alvarez is lying on his back.

I prefer the ring. i don't mind the stoppages and restarts. I guess cause I watch a lot of grappling matches. Also, the fights feel like they have a faster pace in the ring.

cage is good, they don't have to "stop" and then crawl to the center of the ring anymore. but i'm not sure about the rounds. i like that they use to have time to set up their subs or pick them apart with strikes
