I usually get these in my backyard so their not uncommon...

but its so strange seeing them hop around like a parakeet they don't act like that naturally at all!

But in a way its amazing :) thanks for sharing!

i used to have rainbow lorrie but it escaped from its cage and flew away.....thank good ness the dog diidnt eat it but still hes gone........ His name was pooly and he used to wolf-wistle at people

I didn't know Lorikeets could talk! They are so pretty! Prolly my 2nd fav bird. R they messy w/nectar? I foster w/Exotic Bird Rescue, my 2 boys are Jenday & Blue Crown (also a talker! Lol). One is so sick right now I'm worried for him. He arrived sick, but we haven't raised enough $ thru the shelter yet, so its just a waiting game...& daily injections that break my heart each day to give poor Norbert. =( He's had such a hard life. @FALCO64125 yeah, those balls worry me too, but I think they're being supervised. I foster w/Exotic Bird Rescue & one of my new boys is dying cuz he arrived after having swallowed a metal object in previous home & needs surgery cuz the poisons are killing him! We're doing a fundraiser at rescuebird*dot*com to try to raise $, cuz he's young & has a mate. Poor thing was abused & toys he came w/were broken & not even safe for him (or any IMO)!
