I played this game on NES, and it is my favorite -- I never even finished it but I would play it for hours! haha. I fed the tentacle all the food also until I figured out what he wanted - I'm glad I'm not the only one who did that!

I remember blowing up the mansion a few times on accident...oops

around 9:25 mark, you say "it's a room with play things" smh lol.........just call it an arcade room........jus jokin around.....Im enjoyin, viewing your vids......I was a big fan of maniac mansion when I was younger, I didn't know they made a deluxe version. I like how the graphics got improved and more detailed from the original version.

I played the original. I also liked the music. I love the 2nd one, Day of the Tentacle. I bought Sam and Max and Day of the Tentacle twin pack. The original game was in with the DotT game. You could play this game within DotT. A game within a game. It is a very hard game. I thought Dave sucked. I like Bernard a lot.

@vglp33 I played day of the tentacle yeeeeeears ago and I always loved the part when you ran into the ray that makes you stupid and you had to put together the two puzzle pieces to get back to normal intelligence XD

@ladygilwen I only grew up with an Amiga, so it was yeeeears before I got to try out these games because my mother was like 'games are not educational'. That was the sole reason I wasn't allowed consoles in the house, either. She let us have a computer in the house if it had educational programs on it.

I like Laverne a lot. And that Henry(?) guy. I lol'd at the part where you push the mummy down the stairs on roller-skates.

Damn that opening music is so 80's... which means it is awesome, I'm a child of the 80s after all. Maniac Mansion and adventure games in general made up a good part of my childhood. Great LP, convinced me to give this remake a try!

Instead of getting caught try to outrun Edna to the door If you make it you'll be able to loot the kitchen without being caught. BTW what is that white patch in the corner of the screen?

not that I know of. the reason the game was remade was because it was too old to get it somewhere and lucasarts wasn't going to republish it, so the fans made it theirselves.
