It was in 7th century BC that the Slav migration occurred and the Bulgarians and Serbs took over Kosovo. So it's not just the Kosovo War but long before that.
But yes, it was controlled by Serbia even though in the beginning Kosovo was ~60% Albanian when the Serb started taking over since it was right below Serbia.

How is it possible that when ever it was referred back to Kosovo, it had always been predominantly occupied by Albanians? Every time you read about Serbs in Kosovo, you see that Serbia wanted them to move in so there would be more Serbs in there.

Well in Serbia's case, as long as they take over as much land as possible.. deaths of civilians doesn't matter.
I'm Albanian and I am sad for both the Albanian and Serbian civilians that died because of the Kosovo War. Neither side deserved to die but Serbia is unbelievable.. they first massacred Bosnians claiming it as their territory and then moving to Kosovo.
It's really sad to be honest.

I agree 100% about Bosnia, but Kosvo was serbian, it was controlled by serbia for hundreds of years, even before yugoslavia was established. However, it is also true that many albanians lived within kosovo at the time of the kosovo war. I agree that it was wrong for serbia to "ethnically clean" out the albanians. If they never killed innocent albanian civilians, perhaps they would still have kosovo. I'm not sure why Serbia did what it did. All I know is that they fucked up.

Well actually, and you can look this up yourself, the Illyrian people occupied Kosovo in 4th Century BC and countries around referred to them as Albanians.
It was in 7th century BC that the Slav migration occurred and the Bulgarians and Serbs took over Kosovo. So it's not just the Kosovo War but long before that.
But yes, it was controlled by Serbia even though in the beginning Kosovo was ~60% Albanian when the Serb started taking over since it was right below Serbia.
