If you cared to listen to what the man says, they state that security at Farnborough was number one priority because of what previously had happened at Ramstein airbase. There was a huge crash there during an air show just a week before.

I have the Farnborough 88 airshow on VHS (no not the WHOLE airshow), the Mig29 demonstration is unreal. The pilot shows some real skill.
