@vanguy84 I think its mainly because of the stereotype against women and men saying that they are poor drivers, while they ignore their own mistakes. I'm not afraid to drive, squeeze my car into small spaces or park wherever my car will fit and is legal. I actually have very good depth perception and can judge spaces in which im about to put my car in and I've never hit anything or anyone. So I think for most women they just lose confidence in their abilities behind the wheel.

No, it's because when most women are driving, the last thing on their mind is the actual act of driving. They are thinking of what they will do when they get to destination X, and where they will go after they have finished at destination X. That is why women drivers appear to have no clue what they're doing because the truth is, they don't. However, ask them about what plans they have when they get there, and they'll be more than happy to tell you!

I drive fast and wreckless by choice, but I pay attention to the road while I am speeding. Back on topic... I wonder if it's people like this that blames an accelerator pedal for their crashes. Even with the gas pedal pressed full down, the brakes on today's cars will slow the car down to a halt easy. Don't believe me? Search for it at car and driver, they did a test and cars will slow down if brakes and gas pedal are both pressed down against the floor.
