Hey I actually got it to work! I uninstalled the v7 RoboForm (RF) files then reinstalled RF v6.10.2 then used your instructions and it worked (thank you). Unfortunately these steps didn't work on my U2 USB stick version of RF that I use for my laptop. It works with ie9 on my laptop, but not Firefox 4.01.
I'm wondering if Roboform caught on to this because I followed your directions to the letter and after completing all the steps including shutting down and restarting FF v4.0.1 it still shows the RF Toolbar button that leads back to RF to purchase v7 and the close button option. My old RF toolbar v6.9.97 doesn't appear.
It didn't work for me... UNTIL I turned on the roboform taskbar icon by the clock as it wasn't showing. [Start/Programs/AIRoboform/Taskbar icon]. Once I did that, everything was hunky-dory. Thanks very much!
As an update, the adapter does not work for my Samsung XP netbook. iKeirNez has confirmed this. Robo is still greyed out and in some "flukes", it would come back and attach itself to the top of Firefox. There's no rhyme or reasons. So I reinstalled Firefox 3.6 and Robo was working again but my Add-Ons would not work. So after 8 hours, I did a clean uninstall of Firefox. That means deleting bookmarks, passwords and everything. Now everything works in FF 3.6.
So the moral of the story is "DON'T ACCEPT UPDATES. ALWAYS STAY 10 VERSIONS BEHIND" unless you have a backup computer and let other people work out the bugs first. LOL
Good video but it's not working for me. My Roboform is still "greyed out". Do I have to download Roboform 7.2.7 to work? I read on other forums say that once you download Roboform 7, they won't let you go back to Roboform 6.
@chipmalee No cause I updated to 7 and just installed version 6 and it downgraded and kept my passcards. Try restrting firefox and it won't work if you have firefox open twice. You will need to use the tabs.
@iKeirNez Out of disparation, I installed v.7.2.7 before seeing your message. Roboform worked again but some forms that filled out in v.6 would not work now. I'm keeping my fingers cross that it's not just a 30 day trial that Roboform is working now.
@chipmalee I updated to V7. Then about 5 days ago it was asking me to buy it so it is a trial. Just download V6 and it'll overwrite V7 but keeping your passcards, identities etc. Then use my tutorial!
How come the add-in on the roboform adapter page in the video is 6.10.1 ? That is a robofm version 6 adapter not a version 7 adapter, and not the one that downloads appears from the roboform link.
If these instructions are followed then Autofill still does not work, it is not possible to save new pages, and other porblems.
@mongo11111111 Yeah this is if you bought version 6 and want it to work with Firefox 4. Roboform 7 automatically works with Firefox 4. Mine works perfectly including AutoFill. Make sure you followed the instructions correctly.

@scdayton The other day I had to delete the extension in Firefox and install the xps file then it worked!
