Morality should be based on rights, justice and consent. If it doesn't fall under any of those 3, you cannot judge. Is cannibalism wrong? As gross as it may be, I would argue, no. If the 2 people agree, so be it. If I offer my arm or leg as 'food' to some cannibal, that's consensual and a-ok. Killing people for cannibalism is still wrong since it's murder. Is incest wrong? I say as long as it's consensual and doesn't lead to a child, so what. Both are adults.
If only these stupid conservatives would realize this. They've no evidence that legalizing gay marriage leads to some slippery slope of legalizing gay marriage, incest marriage or animal marriage. And quite frankly, so what if it did? There's nothing morally wrong with polygamy. It doesn't really matter how many people are married. If 3 christians wanna get married, fine. And incest? So what? It happens so infrequently, it's not that big a deal. Animals? Same argument, almost. No big deal.
The conservatives need to stop being a bunch of moral collectivists and quit BUTTING IN! Stop trying to interfere with people's private lives. As long as no one is hurt, and everyone consents, who the hell cares? Honestly. Stop judging people so much and caring about what they do in private or on their own time. It's none of your business. Every little thing a few people or a minority do in their personal time DOES NOT affect the larger culture in some profound negative way.
