One must think, many irrational fears are likely due to traumatic experiences with the subjects of those fears. For this guy, a pit bull may have attacked him when he was young, which is an understandable cause for pathological fear. Admittedly, it's like myself with bees and wasps. I don't care if this guy cried, for he was likely having flashbacks to a traumatic experience that left a painful scar.
