  • Cool sculpture dude. The detail on his jeans is particularly impressive, I´ve always found fabrics and clothes very hard to sculpt.I was going to ask about the oven size too but you´ve answered that. right on!

  • @davidlegaria Thank you very much.

  • impressive sculpt man!

  • @fiercekrypton Thank you! :)

  • THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWER ABOUT OVEN SIZES AN MEEDS.

ALLOW ME TO TEL YOU THAT I DO HAVE A KILN!,... BECAUSE I ALSO DO FUSING AND GRISAILLE PAINT ON GLASS. THE THING IS THAT I DID NOT LINKED ONE THING WITH THE OTHER!!!!, GETTING OLD PERHAPS!. HAVE A NICE WEEKEND AND CONTINUE WITH YOUR VERY GOOD WORK.

  • U can sell this on ebay and make a fortune!!.. amazing bro!

  • @MichaelG1919 Thanks man. At the moment I'm focusing on getting better with my sculpting techniques. Maybe I'll look into starting a sculptures / action figure business in a few years or so. Thanks for the compliments - glad you like my work..

  • IS A GREAT SCULPTURE, CONGRATULATIONS. I JUST WANT TO ASK HOW DID YOU MANAGED TO "COOK" THE STATUE IN THE OVEN, THIS IS BIGGER EVEN THAN A TURKEY!, YOUR ANSWER WILL WE HIGHLY APPRECIATED. AND,..., CONGRATS AGAIN! NICE WORK.

  • @osalgulama Hello! Glad you like my work, thank you. Just have to make sure that you find a big enough oven. In New Zealand I had an oven that was just big enough, but if you find that your sculptures don't fit inside a normal oven, you could try investing in a small kiln. They are expensive but I think they'd be worth it. Hope that helps!

  • @Matasak01 My wife's grandmother has a kiln.. but can the temperature really be controlled like that? They get WAY hot!! I am in need of a bigger oven.. I like to sculpt BIG stuff lol. LOVE your Hulk you have here!!

  • Good job...your first sculpture? I see another one in the back

  • @youvinicio. Im glad you like my work, and to answer your question; yes there is another sculpture in the background, its a sculpt of wolverine that has been abandoned, so no, this hulk wasn't my first sculpture, rather it is my first finished sculpture, as in, painted, mounted and displayed. Hope that clears it up. Cheers.

  • Brilliant work dude ;) keep it up.

  • @cameltoemouth Cheers man!

  • masive chest :D can you make a tutorial video? not just pics

  • @JohnnyBeatstee Hey man thanks! I will give it a try although I don't think I have my techniques down completely. After a few more sculptures I'll give the tutorial a try. If you are interested in some good tutorials, I have favourited a couple of sculptors on my channel. Cheers!

  • AMAZING! very skillful! wish i could scuplt like that! great job dude!!

  • @steadyb78 Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm hoping to post more videos soon. Right now I am working on an alternate female thor, so keep a look out! Cheers.

  • MAN THAT IS AWESOME, YOUR LIKE A PRO AT THIS.

  • @74vilgax Thank you very much. Glad you like my work :)

  • your hulk creation is really my favorite that i've seen so far in youtube .. really amazing hands u got there sir .. ive would really love to try creating mine using sculpy but i cant find any of it dats sold here in my town so i only use clays that childrens play .. haha such a shame ..

  • @kerksyong Thank you for the kind words. The Hulk is one of my Marvel characters, so I tried to do as good a job on this sculpture as I could. I'm really glad you like my work, but I really have to credit a lot of the Hulk videos on youtube, since I used a lot of them as reference. With regards to your search for super sculpey, maybe you should try ebay. I"m sure they would have it there. I personally have to order mine from overseas as well. You should get your hands on it - it's worth it!

  • butty

  • eh! beautiful sculpting and nice painting!!

    Good job ;)

  • @Arthurjeg Thank you very much. Glad you like my work..

  • @Matasak01 What kind of pasta is? : S What wire you use as a basis it is? I'm a newbie in this xD

Could you explain the tools you use please? :(

  • Hey what can u use to model a cape to a figure?

  • @venomchris The first thing that comes to mind is wire mesh, but depending on the size of the actual figure itself, you might have to buy a fine mesh - esp if you want to put clay over it. With the Batman that I did, the cape was made of material, but I inserted a wire frame on the edges of the cape to make it posable. I think the best thing to do is experiment with different techniques until you find one that works for you. Hope that helps..

  • @Matasak01 hey ya it did thanks, i never thought about wire mesh, it would be sculpey over wire mesh. Also the cape wouldnt be too big, but it would be suspended horizontally.. so im not sure how if it would give problems after time. do u know of any rubbers that harden like a cape on a spawn toy? i wanna do the cover to the comic nemesis #1. ive sculpted successfully before but never a cape. thanks again

  • @venomchris You can make a mold of the sculpey cape, then make a plastic casting. So that, if the cape is horizontal, it would be stronger than super sculpey. To fasten it to the sculpture, use small but very strong magnets. Hope that works..

  • awesome job man! great paint work too! keep em coming! btw, check out my odd rods inspired monster sculpture here on youtube. just type in "odd rod monster sculpt" or "how I made a monster on wheels" please leave some feedback. thanks for watching.

  • @Spiderman800cp Thanks, and Im glad you like my work. With regards to you idea about my own shop, maybe some time in the future, i still need to improve a few aspect of my sculpting, but yeah definitely in the future.

  • sick mate!...jus thinking about starting myself

  • @Bashmuz78 Thanks! You should definitely give sculpting a try, Its an awesome hobby.

  • can you sculpt with ordinary clay? the clay which kids use?

  • @tomanatorness Thanks for your comment. Maybe not Play dough, because it doesn't keep details well. I feel it's too soft. You can use DAS clay, FIMO or plasticine, since they have a harder texture and can keep details better. However if you would like to get into sculpting seriously, I would suggest using a really good polymer clay like super sculpey (normal or firm). For me, firm is too hard, but feel free to give them both a try. Hope that helps, let me know if you need more info.. Cheers!

  • @isaiah5230 Thank you very much..

  • very cool :) i am sculpting too but it's amazing!!! :)

  • @assrockman1 thanks, glad you like it.

  • Okay thank you for answering my questions, I just have two more. What kind of paint do you use and how hard is it when it is dry?

  • @HRZONE2 No worries. Most of my sculpts were hand painted with Acrylic paint (take a look at my other vids) and the paint usually dries pretty hard. I do apply a clear sealer just to add one last protective coat. However, The Green Lantern I sculpted was airbrushed with Tamiya Colour (also acrylic), and the paint on that one is a little easier to scratch off, even with the sealer. But as long as you dont handle your finished work too much it should be fine.

  • @Matasak01 ya I have seen your other videos they are great. After the statues are baked, are they really solid like any other statue?

  • @HRZONE2 as long as you bake the sculpey long enough it should be solid. You might get some problems with hairline cracks but as long as you dont take the sculpt out of the oven prematurely (i have been guilty of this) the cracks can be avoided. On the box it says to bake the sculpt for 30 mins at 130 degrees C, i think its best to bake it for longer at a lower temp. I usually bake mine at 100C for 1 to 2 hours.

  • @Matasak01 I plan on using sculpey to make a custom action figure. I have been told that i can only have it in the oven for like 6 minutes or else the plastic pieces from the original figure will melt.

  • @HRZONE2 So the plastic is from the original figure? Um yeah it would melt. if you plan to make the figure peice by peice i suggest a heat gun, or a really hot hairdryer. you can use it on the sculpey to cook the separate peices rather than in the oven, just make sure you blow dry it for long enough or else the sculpey becomes brittle.

Im not sure if the sculpey will stick to the original plastic figure though? Ive never tried it myself.

  • @Matasak01 It will stick its what all the custom makers use. To see what I am talking about just type in custom action figures super sculpey into google and you can see some of them. I watch a show called Buffy the Vampire slayer and people make a lot of custom figures from the original Buffy figures.

  • @HRZONE2 yeah ive heard of it before, some guys do it with Marvel figures. There are some pretty cool ones out there. I saw one guy make a Kilowog from a hulk figure. The guy made whole new hand and face sculpts. Pretty cool. But for the most part ive only seen repaints. But its an interesting idea. Hope it works out well for you.

  • DANG YOU HAND MADE THAT> YOUR GOOD

  • @TheBbqforever, Yeah its all hand made. Glad you like it.

  • What do you use to hold his hole body together? That silver stuff.

  • @HRZONE2, i started off with a wire frame, then covered it with foil to flesh it out. Then I applied the clay.

  • @Matasak01 i see, so it was okay to still have all that in your statue when you put it in the oven?

  • @HRZONE2 the wire is okay inside the sculpt duing baking. I havent really had any problems with it before. Also, since super sculpy softens during baking its really important to have a good strong frame to keep the sculpt form collapsing.

  • @Matasak01 Cool. I haven't used super sculpy yet, I really want to! Is it just like using regular clay? Is the finished product hard? Do I have to create a slip (clay glue) to hold the pieces together?

  • @HRZONE2 super sculpey is kind of simmilar to regular clay, but rather than hardening over time, super sculpey stays soft and only hardens when its baked. with reagards to the clay glue, nah you dont have to use that since super sculpey is sticky, but ive read that yu can use sculpey softener to aid in sticking. Usually i just work the clay till the parts stick together. Also, by having a sturdy frame you wont have to worry about sculpture falling apart.

  • @Matasak01 How much does super sculpy cost? can I find it at Micheal's?

  • @HRZONE2 In New Zealand they cost $35NZD for 459 grams (1 block). I'm sure though, if you go to your local art store, they'll be able to order some for you. It might also be good to check out Ebay, as they may sell it in bulk.

  • very cool

  • This is a best Hulk. Great work. Congratulation.

  • @ungerdass Thank you very much!

  • @ungerdass Nothing short of AMAZING.....an inspiration to look at.

  • Great piece!!! Congratulations... Super Sculpey?

  • @ungerdass, thanks. Glad you like it. and yes, a lot of super scullpey! Five blocks i think?

  • ONLY THE FACE IS MY NOT GOOD LOKING SORRY ..........

  • very nice! you're a talented fella. and you obviously know your onions when it comes to anatomy.

how did you do the lettering on the base?

  • @MrDERIAIR Thanks for your comment, and for your kind words. I'm glad you like my work. With regards to the lettering, I went to a trophy store in my town, I gave them a picture of a Hulk comic that I had, and they were able to laser it out of a piece of wood. Hope that answers your question. Cheers.

  • Abercrombie Hulk. Haha

  • How long did it take you to get this good??

  • @Chunkybuddha1 Thank you for your comment. The Hulk was my first finished sculpture.. I started sculpting in March 2010. I've been sculpting mainly action figures but I am hoping to eventually explore other types of sculptures too.. Hope that answers your question :)

  • @Matasak01 Man, you must be a natural. I'm getting into it, hopefully someday I can come back to this video and brag to you.

  • @Chunkybuddha1, i dont know about natural, but lots of practice helps as well as good reference fotos and anatomical knowledge. But good luck with your sculpting and I hope to see your work soon.

  • awesome you are very talented !!!

  • @patriotsfangirl12 Thank you :)

  • Nice job , but how did you make it hard to paint, did you use the original or did you cast it out of something?

  • @snowman2009 Thanks for your comment. The Hulk was baked at the completion of the sculpting process - this is how I got the sculpture to harden. The paint was done on the original sculpture. Unfortunately I didn't make any molds/casts of this sculpture. I hope that answers your question :)

  • Great Job!

  • @MrLJSstudio Thank you :)

  • Very Cool

  • @maganathemagnificent Thank you! :)

  • I'm a big HULK fan and an even bigger fan of fellow artists' works. You did a marvelous job of covering both. Thanx for posting.

  • @maurecew1 thanks, Im really glad you liked it.

  • i really really like it... Well Done my friend

  • @JiinC19 Thanks for the comment, glad that you like it. Check out my channel for my other work when you have time! :) Cheers.

  • @Matasak01 what material is that? i wanna sculpt too

  • @JiinC19 The clay I use is called Super Sculpey. It's not the cheapest stuff but it's handy, since it stays soft until you bake it.. It's usually found in any good art store. All the best.. Let me know how it goes! :)

  • Very well done. :)

  • @dzine13 thanks

  • hey Man HOW DO YOU LEARN ABOUT THE MUSCLES AND ANATOMY...ARE YOU STUDYING ON A COLLEGE ART OR SOME LIKE THAT, i HAVE TO USE BOOK AND BODY BUILDING MAGAZINES FOR MINE BUT MAN I REALLY LIKE THE WAY YOU MUSCLE THIS HULK,I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS YOU FIRST PIECE, NICE WAY TO START....KEEP IT UP.

  • @kingx1975 Hey man, thanks for the kind words...Like you, I use magazines too,as well as things I find on the internet. Besides i've been reading bodybuoilding magazines for so long that I have a good idea where the muscles attach. I don't study sculpting, just a hobby at the moment, but something I really enjoy doing.

  • Hey! is this for sale?

  • @tdenney Hi, thanks for your comment. No, unfortunately I'm not selling this one. I may be making another Hulk sculpture (with a different pose) sometime down the line though - maybe next year. I'll be posting a video here on youtube once it's done.

  • This is Talent, a jaw dropping dude.....you make my hulk look like S**T...nice job.

  • @kingx1975 Thanks man! I'm still working hard to get better :) I've got a couple of projects that I'm working on at the moment, all of which I'll post on youtube as well. Is your Hulk on youtube? I might check it out.

  • @Matasak01 Yeah Man, check out my projects, my latest one was Tai Lung from Kung fu Panda...

  • @kingx1975 Yeah I saw the tai Lung. I liked it, very cool. Are you a pro at this or is it just a hoby for you? I think your work is really good.

  • @Matasak01 Not a pro, I wish I can make money with this so i don't have to go an get me a regular job...you know what i mean.....I'm doing this for hobby and hoping than one day someone hire me...

  • @kingx1975 Im the same way. I currently do sculptures for friends of mine for a little cash, but for the most part its just a hoby for me too. But one day hehehehe, maybe my own design company. I don tknow, fingers crossed.

  • @Matasak01 There you go man, everything is posible if you believe strong enough....one day my friend one day!!!

  • did you use sculpy and with what kind of paint did you painted? is awesome!

  • @parra3d Hi, thanks for your comment. This sculpture is made from super sculpey, and the paint that I use was acrylic. I usually put a sealer first before painting, in case the paint doesn't stick.

  • Yes, red cedar is wood. I'll post some pics at least when it's done. Keep up the good work!

  • Good job! I'm just beginning to sculpt a Hulk out of red cedar.

  • @Robbery117 Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it. I also have a Batman that is in the works.

Red Ceder...thats wood right? Carving a wood sculpture must take some time. Would like to see it when its done :)
