Book of Acts 15:20 reveals that to become part of Jesus' Nazarenes, you will have to be a "Noahide" as a first step. This will get you into the synogogue where "the heathan" (gentile) would then be able to learn how to come to God. It says nothing about Sunday worship, that breaks the fourth commandment of God whose Sabbath is the 7th day, not the first. And it would have been the 7th day a Noahide would go to the synogogue and listen to Nazarene teachings. Not Sunday. Sunday is Roman apostasy.
I don't believe you are not a Jew hater. You say you are a Christian, but you fail to follow what Acts:20:15 requires to enter Jesus' church - the Nazarene Jerusalem Assembly. You do not subscribe to the doctrine of Jesus, the Apostles (Paul was not a "true" apostle, he was never chosen in the flesh, he was self appointed), the Nazarenes or the Bible. What you prescribe to is something entirely new and man made. You (and many others) call it Christian....So did the grand inquisitor and Ustasha.
No I am not. But Paul is very controversial character. Even Peter warned that he was easily misinterpreted. But he did "pass" the test that the Nazarene "Pillars" James, Peter and John put before him to prove he was not apostate, Therefore, I do not reject him. However, much of what has become "Roman Christianity" (all Sunday keepers be they Catholic or Protestant) has indeed misinterpreted him - breaking the fourth commandment is the test. The "Mark of the Beast". Paul always kept the Sabbath.
Yes the Apostles accepted Paul and more importantly the Lord choose Paul to bring forth His Teaching...Saul was a Jewish leader a leader of men and well versed in Scripture. I am a Sunday worshipper because Scripture backs up that case but that's another story. Im neither Catholic or Protestant.
No man is justified by the law in the sight of God, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us. Faith Alone, Grace Alone, Christ Alone.
@tickmann Faith without works is dead letter - James, the Brother of Jesus. You have to put your faith into ACTION like Jesus did. Any murderer, thief, liar, adulterer, idoloter can say "Jesus" and delude themselves that they are "saved".
@clarkewi Sounds very pious and religious, it's just not Christian. The letter in James must be interpreted through the Gospel or else it becomes just a 'Christian Koran'.
The plain teaching in Romans and Galatians is that we are saved by faith in Christ alone not because of the law. And yes! any murderer, thief, liar, idolater CAN say I believe in Christ for the forgiveness of sins AND be saved.. Nothing added.
@tickmann Act 15:20 is very clear - these relaxations of Mitzvot for "the heathan" by "Pillars" James, Peter and John, still required that they be "Noahides" in order to "enter the synogogue on the Sabbath day" to learn more about coming to God. Paul's letters that came long after the Jerusalem Decree. Paul never met Jesus, he was not a true apostle and Jesus would have been appalled at the Roman apostasy that resulted from these departures from true Nazarene doctrine.
@clarkewi Thanks..It's clear what side of the debate you have chosen.
Paul was an apostle. Not selected by men (whatever happened to Matthias?) but selected by Jesus Christ Himself. The Gospel that he preached was not taught by men but delivered to him directly from Jesus Christ Himself. I hold that if any reject the Gospel that St. Paul preached, one has departed from the Christian faith.
@tickmann Paul was employed by the Nazarenes after Jesus had been long dead. So Paul could not have been chosen by Jesus. He was almost killed by a Nazarene mob in Jerusalem as an apostate Acts:15:20. for preaching against the Laws of Moses. He had to be saved by "Pillars" James, Peter and Paul and a Roman Centurian who then arrests Paul (a Roman citizen) for "being a Nazarene". NOT. Paul was from the Nazarenes but not of them. His apostasy led to John's 2 "Beasts" - the Vatican and Islam.
@clarkewi Are you a Christian? A Seventh Day Adventist? How can you disregard St. Paul? He wrote 2/3s of the New Testament. Are you a jew? St. Paul declared himself that no man taught him but Christ Himself. If you reject St. Paul's teachings and Gospel, I sadly will not consider that I am having a debate with a Christian.
@tickmann I follow the teaching of Jesus and the Nazarenes described in Acts 20:15 as a Noahide. Paul's letters have been misinterpreted. His vision had long traditions ie. Ezekiel. Apostasy began with destruction of the 2nd temple 90AD. That was when Jesus started to become "an idol" and was "Romanized". Crosses, Christmas, Sun (Baal) day worship, Easter are all Pagan. What is new is not good and what is good is not new. Christianity is returning to its roots in Jerusalem not Rome.
@tickmann Oh, now I understand. You're a Jew hater. So were the Romans. You're a "Roman Christian" which I can assure you that Jesus, the "Pillars", the Nazarenes and Paul. Were not. Brother what you do has nothing to do with the Bible. Read the Psalms - those that curse the Jews are cursed.
@clarkewi I don't hate the jews... Yes I am a Christian.. my theological discussion and doctrinal critics are held within a Christian context. If you are something other than a Christian..the discussions are moot.
