I don't feel that he could of survived in the heavyweight division in the 70's and 80's, and properly 90'(because of lennox). Lennox lewis like all out-fighters maintains a distance between himself and his opponent by using long range jabs etc. This is how they fight. David Tua is an in-fighter but wasen't good enough to get on the inside. Being that lennox lewis is much taller there is going to be an even greater distance between the two. Why would lewis want to go get in closer where he cant get as much power with his long arms and give Tua the advantage?
I never said for him to go too much inside..My point is he never slugged...he does boxed real conservatively and used jabs mostly giving him a huge advantage with points...Tua cant get his jabs to him..Tua tried going inside but it was too hard because hed always run away and jab...Thats why I dont consider lewis a great fighter..He never even did any combos...He was plain dull because he was scared to get knocked out...

A lot of people say Tyson definitely hit harder than Tua. Wrong, absolutely wrong. Tyson no doubt has better speed and better combinations to go along with his punching power but on power alone, Tua definitely hits harder. You don't see Tyson knocking fighters out with one punch like Tua. Tyson of course knock his opponents out in an exciting passion, but with combinations. Tyson, no doubt a great fighter. Tua, is underrated.

I don't feel that he could of survived in the heavyweight division in the 70's and 80's, and properly 90'(because of lennox). However i think vitali would of since he's never been dropped, and he has fought a great heavyweight... lennox lewis and was winning. Plus his style is hard to fight against.

Lewis won the fight fair and square and I think he is a great champ because he put his title up soo many times... but he also he a boaring fighter to watch as a spectator.. he lay back in a fight be real stand offish type ... in terms of his boxing that is. As a spectator Tua, Tyson, Evander and others are all good boxers as well as entertainers as they took the fight to there opponents. None the less mad respect to Lewis for how many times he defended his title.

Lennox lewis like all out-fighters maintains a distance between himself and his opponent by using long range jabs etc. This is how they fight. David Tua is an in-fighter but wasen't good enough to get on the inside. Being that lennox lewis is much taller there is going to be an even greater distance between the two. Why would lewis want to go get in closer where he cant get as much power with his long arms and give Tua the advantage?

I never said for him to go too much inside..My point is he never slugged...he does boxed real conservatively and used jabs mostly giving him a huge advantage with points...Tua cant get his jabs to him..Tua tried going inside but it was too hard because hed always run away and jab...Thats why I dont consider lewis a great fighter..He never even did any combos...He was plain dull because he was scared to get knocked out...

haha but he's not a slugger! I get your point though that lewis is often a little boring to watch but that's just his style. If either Klitschko were to fight Tua I guarantee they would use the same tactics. Tua is too dangerous to risk getting too close to. However Tua didn't do enough to get to Lewis. He had never fought anyone like him and simply wasn't aggressive enough to bother lewis.
