@crosseyedwillie That's a good middle mark. You can set it higher but your tubes won't last a long but it might sound better. I have my 1964 Blonde Bassman set at 26 and my 1960 Bassman is set at 38. They both sound great. You can adjust it by ear in that range. Anything over 45-50 could cause the power tubes to red plate. I had it happen on my Blonde Bassman. You can look at the 6L6 and it will be glowing red. Not good. I had my 1960 Bassman set at 33 and Gerald Weber upped it to 38.
@johnnybgood58 Cool. I'm glad I could help. It sure is a lot easier doing it yourself than having to take it to a tech every time you need it done. I see Gerald Weber has a vid. I am going to go check it out. I went to his Amp Camp last year. It is a great way to learn about amps if you are serious about it. It's a lot of fun too.
@lostlemming Good deal. It's real easy. I just got back from working with the experts. I was asking if there was a secret formula for getting the best setting. They do it completely by ear. Play around until the tubes sound the best. It could be anywhere from the low 20's to the high 30's mA.
@skumkugler Yes. I don't rehearse these videos and make mistakes. I'm still learning. When it comes to electronics, I know how to fix things but don't really understand the electronic engineering aspect of these amps yet.
@SkateTS808 I forgot this video. It's cool to watch since the Saints did win the Superbowl. I keep updating my videos because my tones seems to be improving so keep in touch.
@JoeTelly Good deal. It's real easy to check. Hopefully the RI has an adjustable bias which I'm sure it must. Definitely experiment with speakers if you can afford to. What speaker came in the amp?
would the 33 milliamp measurement be across the board with fender amps?

@millstap
Shouldn't it be mV instead of mA ?!
