I loved - always will- listening to Larry Norman at the old age of 40 now-yikes! for almost 30 years- thanks to an x-band member who hooked me up with a lot more albums/recordings etc. wahwah wah wah.. God Bless ya all!
The missing link of Mahalia Jackson, Chuck Berry, and biblical messages. Larry is having a blast up in heaven for all of the things he've done for the Christian Pop and Rock music we have today. Just like what Andre Crouch did for secular Soul and Gospel is Larry with Gospel and Hippy rock!!!!!!!
What incredible memories this brings! Thanks Larry for your bluntness and your boldness! For your faith, love and example. You challenged and encouraged me to follow Jesus.
Letter from Larry, to his fans, one day before his death.
"I feel like a prize in a box of cracker jacks with God's hand reaching down to pick me up. I have been under medical care for months... I have trouble breathing. I am ready to fly home...I won't be here much longer. I can't do anything about it...I want to say goodbye to everyone.
My favorite Larry song of all-time...thanks for this post so very much. There are a few songs/hymns that I hum when I'm hurting or when I need to put things in perspective, and this one is right up there with "On Christ the Solid Rock I Stand" and "Amazing Grace."
I first saw Larry in 1972 and later in the early 80's at the Boomer Theatre in-guess where-Norman, Oklahoma. It looks like he's still "got it", including his witty personality.
Larry is an original. He's been erratic at times but I'm not sure he gets the respect he deserves for his incredible catalog of music and the being the most important pioneer in Jesus music. Nice to see/hear him still singing.
oh , what Joy Larry is still Singing Praise the LOrd God bless You For Posting This , God Bless You Larry ? i Wish He Can COme TO Australia, i would like to organise LArry to Come to sing here,
Love this song! Miss you, Larry!
