the ripper does a great job i dunno what some of you are saying Barlow is fucking amazing of course im glad hes back but you have to admitt when ripper was in the band he was great and this was his song...ive heard barlow try this song live i cant say it was good but it wasnt horrible just like owens cant really pull off barlow's stuff barlow cant touch owens stuff but in the end iced earth was great with both singers

It's true, they really write all the songs around the singers. Every time they redo a song, the instrumentals are near identical, but the original is always my favorite. As much as I love Barlow, I would much rather hear Greely singing Stormrider tracks.

I think especially songs like "Ten thousand strong" show the strength of Owens. He does them better than Barlow, since he sounds more agressive and has this thing in his voice I just can't explain.

Though Barlow has a wider vocal range and suits songs like "Dracula", "I died for you" or "The Prophecy" better than Tim.

Since Iced Earth has more songs fit for Matt, he is the better singer for them.

Owens still kicks ass and I hope he has success with "Beyond Fear"!
