Nice video and great fish. Recently went to France for a week at Etang De Villaine. Was there for 5 nights and caght 24 fish and they were all over 20lb, eleven of them were over 30lb. Its a private 6 acre lake full night fishing and run by british carp angler stu and jan.. check it out w w w carpfishinginfrancesite . com
Oh wow - I just watched it again... they really do expect a burnt blob to hold a fish... God I expected more of a company like Fox. --- It just goes to show! (Really proving my other point about sales though).... poor show!
The burnt blob doesn't need to hold any weight (strain) whatsoever, only the bait. The strain of the fish goes straight through the mainline as usual. Although these are ridiculously overcomplicated. They've obviously been designed to sell as much terminal tackle as possible. The simpler the better - as with anything else. An in-line bolt-rig with some safety tubing, a swivel jammed into the bolt, covered with rubber is perfect. Tied at terminus with a knotless knot seems to suffice.
The first rig on here beware. The TB Rig. Short for the ( Thick Bastard rig ). wot a loada shit. Only use this rig if you can afford to loose those mummas. I know I can't !!! Think they were just thinking they had designed a new one unfortunately not. Who ever designed it should have a word with themselves.
you guys dont know nothing about fishing then do you you are a bunch of noobys haha im laughing so much because you sound so rediculose and this is a great rig because i have used ut and caught a 42 pund carp with it haha .. .... ... ...
Im sorry but these rigs are all wrong how is a little blob of melted plastic going to hold a carp and on a kd rig the hair has to be pulled back after 2/3 turns to make it exit at an angle and is ONLY to be used with critically balanced rigs plus fox end tackle is shite ;)
w.t.f is that death music are you fucking jokeing is a carp fishing vid not a slipknott cd don't do a nighter with this mush he might murder you in his tent
wot a load of shit! for starters kd rig is designed so that the hair exits the hook close to the eye so the hook sits on an angle, and you should never use a hook with an inturned eye on a stiff hooklink, eg chod rig
I may send fox my design for a PVA hooklink its about as reliable as that first load of shite! who designed that stevie wonder? still i supose it helps those who cant tie the knotless knot, You know who you are white T shirt brigade!!! And Tex Ritter lookalikes!!
That blobbing the line shit is going to lose you a fish guaranteed, it's not nearly as strong as a knot.Glad to see some other viewers can see this! as for the comments that say this is a good rig, what planet are you on?
I would not have thought that the blobed line would hold up to the battle of a big carp, its only that blobed bit of line thats holds the hook on really. but it must work else why post if, I will have to try that some time.
Its a ok ish rig but i much rather use my own kind of tryd tested and banked me enuff 20 s 30 s 40s no fiftys yet but fingers crossed when i hit rainbow lake in france....
totally agree mate! imo fox make some of the best terminal tackle available. the armapoints are fucking lethal. but yeah i totally agree with you. good luck at rainbow.
its part of the line, its not exactly going to snap.. nice video but the KD rig is a little wrong, the point of the KD rig is that the hair comes off before the whippings down the shank.
Anyway, the line should hold, if you want to test it, just get some mainline, blob one end with a lighter and try and pull it through the bead, if it gives use another rig, if it doesnt its all good!
I feel sorry for new comers tocarp fishing, im not new so i dont take half these rigs in to be honest. Ive used one rig for many years now and thats the basic semi fixed lead bolt rig. The helicopter if im fishing above weed or silt. Obviously all using the latest saftey devices. Keeping things simple lands more fish. Much appreciate the video tho, thanks for posting.

Rig 5 is just the wierdest thing ive ever seen, would you feel safe hooking anything above 1 lb with that rig? as i wouldnt. Perhaps its just me i dont know? but i would not feel safe with that rig on the end of my line lol no chance.
have not been fishing that long an am going to start ledgering but just dont know how to get bait on line by the hook like at the end of this vid could someone please help me pm me with answers please
rig no 5 - the most stupid thing i ever seen,i swear.with a 20+ (kg) carp,this rig is...nothing,cant rezist.....is just a rig for a half kilo fish :))
can anyone tell me what hook link is that in the tungsten beed rig? what blobs like that when u burn it? i have asked about but nobody seems to know?????
well the hook link i beleve is the line that you tie to your hook and i thing the stuff that they burn is just regular line but it never burns like that for me lol but hey dont hold me on any of that because i only started 5 week ago
Obviously after ive felt first bit line lift from lake bed, use the lightest indication conditions allow with my alarm. My lines pinned and ive not needed a back lead or leadcore?.. or is that a bad method?. Its wierd because on forums everyone thinks each version is best and each version is worst!, Its a nightmare but im not using leadcore until i know how to use it safely. yeah the lead unclips under tension but the leadcore dragged about? = as bad?. Ill use it when i know how safely i think.
I'd recommend you dont use leadcore, use Anchor Rig Tubing and an in line lead. If the line snaps the whole lots comes away leaving just the hook in the carps mouth. The tubing holds the line on the bottom, but also prevents tangles when casting. I use it everytime! Also fish very slack lines and a very light hanger, this also keep the majority of your line on the bottom, reducing line bites and keeps it out of view of passing fish. tight lines
I need some help if anyones kind enough to educate me. I want to pin my line down ok, however i will not use my leadcore ive bought as i dont know how and thats unsafe fishing. I love my fish. Secondly backleads?. naf up ya bite indication or at best ruin it a little?. so am i correct in thinking that using a running ledger, cast out and let the line slack for like 5 minutes after the lead hits then surely the line will be on bottom. Reel in until i feel first bit line lifting?. and thats best?
if you want to catch more carp, heres the best tip ever. keep it simple!! use a flurocarbon hooklink, not braid! Use a size 6 or 8 Drennan Continental Boilie hook, standard knotless knotted to a 5 inch Korda IQ 12lb hooklink to a size 8 ring swivel. an small in line flat pear lead (I use 1oz fishing upto about 40m) with 1 foot of Anchor rig tubing.i Fish very slack lines! Single 10mm ScopexSquidRed dumbell as hookbait (make the hair short so the hookbait is no longer than 5mm from the hook)
also use a small korda funnel web with a few pellets and a few crushed boilies in. I make mine about the size of a golf ball when the fish are not really feeding or bigger if they are competeing for food.
Way too complicated, just keep it simple with the knotless knot and a safe bolt rig. A copy of the Fox bolt rig system can be bought from Decathelon stores 10 for £1.80, or there abouts. % green, 5 brown, but they dont come with size 8 swivels. I tweek one end to fit snugly in the hole. I don't use any tubing, or lead cored stuff just the line and had no problem with catching carp. I do hair rig most of the time though. Tight lines.
Whats the name of the song?

cant u just use a simple sinker, swivel and suicide hook rig like i did

the vids are brill
but i must say rig number 5 is rather pathetic
when you burn the end and make the shape beads just deform the line and the swivel would just come right undone
KD rig is great though especially when fishing over silt it pops the bait perfectly
