  • What happens? I have an LG Ally, but scared to do it. x]

  • Oh shit looks like we got our selves a badass in here

  • HOLY SHIT FUCK YOU WHITE MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!

  • that is bad for a phone mabye for an ipod touch

  • FFFUUUCCKK YYOOUU

  • U have a crap phone :o

  • do not do this!!!

  • fuck you asswipe

  • it turns off 3g, and 3g makes internet browsing, video/picture messaging faster, you dont need 3g to text or make phone calls, you can still get on internet and still send video and pictures without 3g on, just wont be as fast

  • its called airplane mode.

  • this guy or anyone else who says how to "hack" lg phones is an idiot. this isnt hacking. this is for employes to see if a phone is certified to be pre-ownd. theres nothing badass about a service menu

  • wtf? my LG choclate touch lasts like 9-10 days and im always on it with all the internet things running 24/7

  • @theyoshie29 Same with my LG chocolate touch.

  • it doesnt work and if it does all it does is glitch your phone

  • it does not work for my rumor touch lg

  • it doesnt save why wont it save?

  • my sis have dat phn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how do you change it back?

i did it and want it back to normal

  • @kennedycubs reverse the process maybe?

  • how do you change it back?

  • You guys are all a bunch of idiots haha.

  • talk louder nigga cant here shett bitch

  • If you own a vx8300, you can do this too but it has a slightly different process.

With the phone open, click "ok" to go to the menu. Then hit 0 on the number pad. Then enter the code "000000" (six zeroes). Then go to "Network Select." Then hit "Mode Preference." Then go down to "1X only" at the bottom. Then you can exit out.

Not sure if it actually lengthens life on this phone, but I will let you know as I just did it today.

  • Sorry, forgot to mention that the make is LG :)

  • IM GONNA KILL THIS KID!

  • You people are ignorant. If you do this, you should at least know what you're doing. This disables the data network, that's how it saves battery. The EV frequencies are a higher frequency, therefore your phone works harder to receive them. If you disable them, it will improve battery life, but obviously you won't be able to use the data network. However you don't get EV all of the time anyhow, so it's not like you're losing anything huge by turning it off.

  • will this work on the eNV3?

  • yep i pooped an entire anvil, i tried switching back to digital hybrid only or whatever and thought it was game over because my service got jacked up.....but all i had to to was restart my phone....i suggest you dont do this cuz i think i got lucky

  • NEVER TRY THIS

  • @VerizonPhoneReviews7 Why you affraid learning the code will cut into your buisness?.

  • "Not avalible external hidden menu"

    this doesnt work

  • Will it work for the LG ALLY

  • @Patrick730 dont ruin yur ally! it totally messes up your phone!! Ihad to get mine replace~

  • @Patrick730 not for eny phone

  • People are fucking idiots if this messed up their phone. All it does is disable data signal that increases the speed of things like VCAST and Internet. Does NOT affect calling and texting. Morons

  • sorry but anyone who listens to a twerp like this to adjust their phone is asking for problems. He can't even video tape properly. How bout leaving the network settings alone and adjust things like your backlight , animated wallpaper, brightness and other things like that. Then charge regularly. Don't listen to this douchebag's advice.

  • @bruhe you can't adjust the brightness at all. you can't adjust anything like that that's why people are doing this.

  • @wtfbiscuits0 I still don't think it's smart. You're just limiting your phone - who pays for a service and then disables it? I dunno. Seems really stupid to me.

  • If this worked, LG WOULD FUCKING DO IT dumbass

  • @stephenswickedcool Get your head out of your ass and actually figure out what its actually doing. By changing it to 1x only you are changing it to use a lower signal. If you live in an area where signal is spotty then DO NOT do this. If you have good signal, and you do not use VCast and other multimedia services then do this and it will save battery.

  • Duhh.. for whoever thinks this doesnt work or say that it fucked up your phone thats a lie if you did this right. it just disables ev-do on your phone so if you live in an area with poor ev-do service it saves battery by telling your phone to only search for 1x.

  • Fuck you. You screwed my phone up. Now o have o o to the Verozon store to fix it. Fuckyou asdhole

  • doenst work on lg neon

  • I have the EnV touch, and i used the 11000 at the end of the "program" and it this totally worked. I don't know if it saves my battery yet, cause I just changed the feature, but if you turn off your phone after this, you still get calls and texts. It doesn't mess up your phone. Just trying to help [:

  • what phone is that?

  • @autoMaticPyro452 lg dare

  • It's not always 4 numbers, like for the enV touch itll be 11000

  • im trying to figure out how to turn on roaming considering that i never use my phone to make calls, cus i have terrible service and it takes text hours to come through! besides, evdo, ev1x, etc. is basically 3g coverage, its what let you use the premium features such as internet, vcast, and other applications. i dont have 3g coverage at my house.. i have the original lg env, and i dont buy vcast songs.. funny though, less than a quarter mile down the road (my neighbors house has 3g vzw coverage)

  • bulllll sshitttttt

  • so does this work or not or should i not do this

  • everyone commenting saying how they lose service or cant call or whatever are dumbasses. you have to restart your phone after you do it and it works fine.

  • @bobebobebob how do u restart ur phone?

  • env touch. battery the same but it did.t mess up anything.

  • worked for me and i can still call i have an env3

  • after this you cant send or recive picture messages

  • @tflan13 you have to be patient. The picture message will send but it does noticably take longer at times.

  • @SuperLink97 No it just doesnt send

  • @tflan13 well it sends perfectly fine on my phone

  • @SuperLink97 Well then ur adopted

  • @tflan13 thank you (:

  • I just did this and it scared the fuck outta me . Dont do this . Always read the comments first . Holy shit . Fuck increasin' shit if you dont like your phone the way it is then get a different one .

  • ok, why would you hack ur phone in the first place? just sayin...

  • id rather not have these problems im hearing about.

  • my phone cant call anymore fuck

  • hmm it doesent work by my i have a lg prada kf900

    what must i do now?

please do you whanne help my (:

  • @perro633282 Yeah but it will be slow cause you will have turned off the 3G on your phone.

  • EVDO is 3G so if you do it your internet will be slow!

  • Ya, DO NOT do this! She mentions it saves battery life, but she doesn't mention that you are turning off the high speed data features on your phone and forcing it to run off of the verizons slower network. EVDO is basically disables, which will slow down EVERYTHING on the phone using data. The reason VCAST is disabled is because VCAST needs high speed data, which, in this case, is disabled.

  • do env touchs work on this

  • i dont know why but when i look at my battery level I see it has 3 brs then i look away then 1 minute later it has 1 bar

  • my battery lasted 3 hours now it lasts about 48 houurs(: thanks alot!

    Voyagers work on this!!!!!

  • you know theres something also cvalled a charger that would have taken 3 times as fast to do!!!!!!

  • PLEASE READ!

i did this and about a week ago and all of a sudden i was getting an error saying that i had no service and couldn't receive, or send texts or calls. after i turned the hybrid thing back on it started working again

  • it might save battery life but ur practically turing off 3g and u start losing reception every where

  • @hullo505 yess it did work. try it. for the number the version. finish it with 11000 when u call.

  • this shit is dumb i couldnt get any text or calls with it on

  • @SAGE8167 i agree

  • besides saving the battery what does it do

  • yes it worked :] and it actually does help the battery a little bit.

  • It won't work for env3.. Please help)=

  • it worked for the env touch :] now all we gotta do is wait and see how much battery it can really hold.

  • hey good post. thanks :)

  • ##5473784236368 works as well for LG phone

    (##LGServiceMenu)

  • DOES THIS MESS UP YO PHONE

  • does this take away internet too

  • can u call and text and listen to music or watch vids cuase i dont want to fuk up my phone

  • Works on the EnV touch. As long as you don't mess with the other options you'll be fine.

  • @freshADR i have the env touch but i cant find my 4 digit code. can u plz help?

  • after typing ##7764726 you input the device model therefore 11000 for the enV touch.

  • @freshADR thanks alot :)

  • 11000

your env actually has 5 digits, just worked on my env

  • wait nvr mind just 4 get about it.......

  • does it hav to b hack or wut?

  • this is sick it really works

  • it works... regardless of this being a menu well hidden for good reasons i will do stuff with it if i know that it will work, which it does... thanks :)

  • Thanks, will it mess up your phone after a while?

  • yes i advise you NOT TO USE THIS MENU!!!!

  • Oh, I tried it and didn't like it, so I changed it back because I guess I use it?

  • y shudnt we use the service menu? im wonderin cuz i cant find the answer any where else

  • heres why. because if you use 1X it will mess up your service because this happened to me at one time and fucked up my env3 so promise me you won't use this. i am trying to help all of you lg users.

  • @ghess11 hmm to all env touch users when you send a txt and it says msg sent doesnt it show just the 1x bars? because mine does and idk if i should do this

  • @831GTA Don't please!!!!! Unless you want to wait on hold with verizon for 2 hours tryin't to fix this like i did.

  • willl it screw up your phone???

  • how do u no it works like wut indactes that its sucsessfu

    l

  • @tolwinski11 Holy crap... your spelling made me want to kill myself. Idiot.

  • For you guys that want to remember the code, it's actually ##PROGRAM_ _ _ _ (the spaces are where you enter your phone's model number)

  • don't do this

  • why not

  • @dsolan8305 ok thankz lOL

  • @dsolan8305 what happens when you do it?

  • Thanks, It works well to save battery life but you lose call quality..I changed it back to default.

  • hey,if someone could just post a video to show that you can do it with the env touch that would be great.

  • hey i have the env touch and i did the same as him, all u have to do is go to the call thing and dial ##7764726VX1000 and the service code is all 0's

  • Comment removed

  • scratch that I did it and it did work. whoops!

  • @Chasems97 when i first read your comment... i thought it was mine lol

  • It won't work for my Env touch either.

  • does this really save the battery life?

  • if you can do it,yes it does. i noticed a change. see, your phone is constantly searching/picking up the Cvast signal (its the EV bars or 3G) so it makes sense that it saves power if it isn't looking for 2 signals.

  • works on envtouch for me

  • This how to get into service menu with LG env Touch

This with flip open Dial ##PROGRAM11000

    Then Service Code is 000000

  • Comment removed

  • It doesn't work for the lg env touch

  • hey everyone! a little help please?

well,i have a chocolate touch and it was a VX857V05 and i had to put 8575.

my brother has a voyager and i had to put 10000 or something like that. but my friend has the env touch, and it didn't work. there were 4 numbers which are 1104 in it. could someone help me out? p.s,it worked on my sister's env3

  • but in 11000

    it worked for me

  • how much battery does this save. (well say for your phone)

  • you can also type in lgservicemenu

  • It didn't work on my lg env touch

  • @jacks182737

this did work on my lg env touch. just got it 12/15/09. as she said you follow her instructions, but use your model # of phone. my particular phone is 11000. everything else is the same. i think she says hers is a 9700 ?

as far as the connection it did drop the vcast, and everything else works normally - email, messaging, txt, calls. good thing to disable if you are like me and want to save the battery. i hope my phone will last longer than just one day now.

  • @jacks182737 It didn't work for mine either.

  • thanks for sharing that with us i'll test it out tomorrow to see if it works on my phone the env touch!
