honestly all old games are the best by far a link to the past ( which i unfortunatly i was not able to play on the snes just the gameboy) Oot, majoras, diablo (not nintendo) nowadays the games are good but there not the same as the good old days
This is definitely my favorite Zelda game, I did play Ocarina and Wind Waker but even though I got close to the end like twice with both games I never beat them. Somewhere near the end I'd get bored and started playing different games eventually forgetting all about the save I had to finish. :<
A Link to the Past however kept me hooked from start to finish, theres just something about it that kept it way more interesting for me as simple in comparison to the newer ones as it was :D
@Draknfyre Hahaha! I was just making fun of how people would say now and days. I remember that commercial and it's still my fav zelda game to this date :)
The Tales of the crypt aired this commercial from his castle. Then i figured i was alittle lightly figured. And he was just talking about the commercial after. You be the judge. It seemed completly unkind.
its funny when you watch this because its obvious that the real world used in the trailor is much nicer than the world inside the game. nowadays the worlds inside the games are so fuckin in depth and detailed that they make you wish you were actually there. skyrim.... thats all im saying.....
Same age when i got it for my SNES for my birthday, great game and better than part 2 which was great but a black sheep in the series don't you think?
By far one of the Best Zelda games! I can play this game with my eyes closed and beat it in one day! I can get the Tempered sword before going on to dungeon 2 in the dark world. This is an easy game but long. Majoras mask is the creepiest an hardest of all Zelda games! But Ocarina of time and a link to the past are by far the best of all
I remember back when it was on TV, it didn't interest me in the game at all. It was some time later when I saw actual game footage on one of those Nintendo demo kiosks they used to have at Toys R Us in those days. "Hey, this actually looks damn cool. If they'd shown this in that stupid commerical, I would have bought it a long time ago."
Ah my favorite alttp commercial. A few years ago I couldn't find it on YouTube I could only find that commercial with female dancing link. It's nice to see it again. Big nostalgic value here. just wish it was better quality :( it looks like it's an old VHS recording but it's better than nothing :)
Ah, yes, I remember this commercial. Haven't seen it in ages! This is also one of my favorite Zelda games of all time! The first time I beat it, I was 8 years old (circa 1993). I still play it even today!
@Xanatos21 wow, when I was 8 Nintendo didn't exist in America. We used to play the Atari systems in the early/mid-80's. Didn't realize how different my perspective was until I started reading people's comments about they were this age or that age when they started playing Nintendo...
@TheAmazingMirror Get one from Lukie games I just got an nes from them they have nothing but five star reviews! I'm getting one of these for Christmas!
@10Raccoon yeah I actually always shop at Lukie games because its better than this other website called jjgames, but 50 bucks is 50 bucks. Times are hard in my family and its a lot on top of the 30-50$ games which are becoming scarce to find in good, working condition.
@DrunkenWaffle yes, Majora's Mask was a hard game, but A Link to the Past was not only hard, but really really long, and each dungeon only got harder. So, while Majora's Mask was hard, it was pretty short, but A Link to the Past was long, it was hard, and it only got longer and more difficult.
@Uub141Forever I liked it because it was hard as hell and fun! I spent over 6 months trying to beat this as a kid! I got through skyward sword in a little over a week with no help. True I am older now, But it seems they are lazier now.
@nintendude1988 I wouldn't say they're lazy, it's just that there's little to no difficulty in games nowadays. Nintendo purposely made their games very difficult to prolong the amount of time it took to beat a game.
