@mboutsa PSP is a good system. Lots of good games to buy for it right now. PSP -3000 was like $160 but I also had to buy a memory stick duo. A 2GB MSD costs $20. A 4GB MSD costs $41!!! So that raises you to $200. Games cost from low to real low but most of the newest games are either $20 to $40 depending on how old.

However... Having bought a PSP recently I couldn't recommend it.

They just announced a PSP2 code named Next Gen Portable. You should put your money towards that.

Psp is better than ds. Better games, better graphics, and everything else in between. But the ds isn't bad either. It is still a good handheld system that has good games but just aren't as good as the psp. If you had to chose to pick the psp or ds,stick with the psp if you like games with good graphics and that play well.

I have a black 2003 model PSP Slim and Lite which is great. I also have an original PSP but the battery doesn't hold a charge at all so that's why I got the PSP Slim and Lite which is what I use now for portable gaming.

I have owned both the DS Lite and also the original size DSi and in the case of the DSi got bored of it within 3 weeks of buying it so I got a full refund. The money went towards the cost of the PSP Slim and Lite.
