  • This question may sound brutal for opera fanatics but I thought that 18th century orchestras were about one or two instrument per section, but I am probably wrong?! (well, yes I am wrong, this was perhaps sponsored by the Royalty at the Louvre, paying in emeralds and sapphires, so please just ignore my coment).
