The point is that PETA and its supporters care about animals more than they do humans. If PETA weren't anti-human they'd be for animal (medical) testing. My family rescued this sweet baby kitty who was stranded by the highway last year. This poor cutie was starving and suffering by the elements of the cold. This kitty would have died even though he was "free." Actually no. Humans in the recent past did eat meat, even before fire was kindled widespread ~600,000 yrs ago. But the problem for Homo corpus consumere (wanna-be-meat-eaters), is that primate ancestors going back 50 million yrs evolved on a fruit based diet. Recent history after writing was invented, doesn't evolve a complex digestive system that was already established before eating meat. The proof= High disease rates that result from meat based diets today.

The point is that PETA and its supporters care about animals more than they do humans. If PETA weren't anti-human they'd be for animal (medical) testing. Cosmetic testing isn't necessary but medical testing is. The animals are suffer but there's no other way to save human lives. And before someone tells me about testing bits of bacteria instead of rabbits, that would put medicine back to square one. I'm not ignorant, I'm just not trying to make myself look kind by 'standing up' for rabbits.

I'll answer with this- The only thing better than "the cure to cancer" is preventing cancer, yet animal studies confirm that your chance of getting cancer are 30% lower on a veg diet, yet u continue on a meat diet so why are u so worried about animal tests that haven't found a cure for cancer while u eat to increase those chances for cancer??

Though I don't wholly support PETA, it is obvious that humans only use their intellect for selfish and destructive purposes and furthermore use it to justify these things. I don't think humans suffer the consequences of their actions. We are self destructive in what we do anyway, so eventually the human species will either regress or die out.

I take it you have never set foot on a farm before. Torturing animals would defeat the whole purpose of raising them for food in the first place since quality of the yield would go down.
Unless you consider caging animals up as torture, but that's only your opinion since you don't know how animals think. There's a good chance that it's more comfortable for them to be in cages; eg: no predators chasing them.

Killing animals for food isn't torture idiot, getting flogged in a prison is torture. Most farms make sure the animals are unconscious first, before they do anything. Anyone caught abusing animals is fired from their job, and possibly arrested. And as long as you buy your groceries from the store, get medicine from the doctor, or use a computer, or any furniture, you're contributing to all this too. There is no way to be vegan AND live a modern lifestyle.

My family rescued this sweet baby kitty who was stranded by the highway last year. This poor cutie was starving and suffering by the elements of the cold. This kitty would have died even though he was "free." Now he's very healthy and extremely frisky and loves being indoors. i would like PETA to explain how liberating animals who can't fend for themselves would do anybody good.
