@cpmower Yeah, no way to escape Jinja if you are heading East to Kapchorwa from Kampala. There are lots of types of mandazi all over Uganda & the rest of East Africa, but "half cake" ... the best are made in Jinja, at least I think ...
If you did not try mandazi in your travels ... u missed something. ;) They are sold on streets, restaurants ...

Jinja town! Drove through there and Mbale, on way to Kapchorwa, and then Piswa. But mmm Mandazi.
