This kid has turn these puzzles into a mathematical formula based on the position of the keys points the game shows. He memorizes them and uses a part of the brain that is usually associated with math and such. It is totally possible to solve the cube blindfolded as the game explained. With the mathematical formula the rest of the faces will fall into place.
