  • sv 650 have no chance with the zx7r on track like this when the rider is professional :) on very short track like a supermoto track is a difrent story. but on track where the straight is long the power to weight ratio zx7 380 bhp per thone vs 270 bhp per thone sv 650 =sv 650 have no chance .

  • proves idd nothing, maybe it was his first time on that track.

I take more time to warm my tires on my zx7 +-4min, maybe he was still warming...

  • If this is a track day it isnt a race... we dont even know if the zx7r is trying....

  • dont want to get flamed but i could wipe an sv650 with my old zxr400l never mind my 7r ,skills are the key here ...when it came to twisties i could (old bike ) and can (new old bike) pish many off when it came to corners and tracks :)

  • SV torque for the win!

  • More like lack of SV power FTL I'm afraid to say!

  • @TimInYorkshire what do you mean mate the sv has great low torque :S:S it beeat nearly all bike up to 7.000 rpm then it loses it a bit but not much

so why do you say lack of torque :S??

  • hell ya! SV

  • A useful piece of intellectual analysis, thanks.

  • mate this is great!. ive got an SV650s and they are a great bike to ride regardless of top speed... and your riding does it justice!

  • Cheers, I used to love the bike, shame I've moved on...

  • The ninja of course would beat it on the straight aways but the sv showed where the light weight and torque come into play in the bends, if you watch the sv catches up each time and accelerates harder out of the bend

  • it doesn't looks like a zx7r tail anyway...

  • What mods have you done to your SV as it seems to go like shit, I have seen a couple of your vids and the bigger bikes beat you on the straights but not by much. I am now actually choosing between an SV 650S and a ZX7R as my next bike, I know tha 7R is quicker but I had an 02 SV before and it is so much fun.

  • Mods are basically stiffer springs and thicker fork oil (about 90 quid) a Hagon rear shock (about 250 quid) a loud exhaust (no real power gains!) a 45 tooth rear sprocket and some EBC HH pads. Currently running Metzler Rennsport Roads, a good sticky tyre that costs about 130 quid a pair and are great for trackdays. That's it mods wise apart from cosmetics. It's a great bike to have fun on, just back from doing 30 lapsof the Nurburgring on it this weekend!

  • i want to do croft... hmmm how much was it tim? did you just turn up and pay on the day or book in advance?

  • Mincey monkey... Common man. What Timmy said was obvious. :D

    Nice vid mate.

  • The Kwak is quicker, the title was a little tongue in cheek, a bettter rider on it would have anihialated me, as would a better rider on an SV! Just a bit of fun.

  • nice riding
