@dkmann1987 I do understand that, I currently have a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo E6600and an AMD Althlon 64 x2 4800+ 2.5GHz. I do realize in Windows Experience index that the Core 2 Duo is rated @ 5.9 in calculation per second while AMD Althlon x2 is ratted at 5.4.

Both are 65nm; one is Conroe, the other is brisbane.

it's unfair that reviewers use testing software biased towards intel design. AMD chips are very different. Tom's hardware recently did a review using their own test software and showed the reality of a 1090t thuban core vs core i7 930.

Journalists are just using test software fed to them - rather than doing the hard work to be fully independent and therefore give AMD a fair chance.

Bulldozer are much more capable than "reviews" showed - because the test software is favourable to intel. unfair.

Also, Intel is no 'better' than Intel. I'm running a 3 year old Phenom X4 2.2GHz and I'm incredibly pleased with its performance. I also own a Dell XPS 15 laptop, which uses an i5 M460 @ 2.53GHz, and I'm also incredibly pleased with that.

Just because Intel are currently ahead, it doesn't make them better. Technology moves quickly.
