@88boyce ...You're right, i am an old fart. I tried to reason with you but you keep letting your filthy mouth run amuck. I have said no ill words yet thats all that comes out of your filthy mouth. Why? Does it make you feel more intelligent? If this does, then you need some serious help. I know you dont care, but this old fart is having a great time rattling your feathers.
@88boyce ....Ok i'll bite. Lets see, back when i used to drag race, camcorders were almost as big as a suit case. The internet was only available to government agencies. What does uploads mean exactly? Because i have zero, it automatically means i'm a loser and know nothing? For all we know, the person who uploaded this video could be nothing more then a spectator who has no clue who the owner of the truck is, but claims it as his own. I've seen it before. Not saying its the case here but.
LOL at those too stupid to realize he is running on a 1/8 mile track LOL.
@cumminalong....sorry dude but your runs are not impressive at all. Also, if you would have mentioned the runs were 1/8 mile in your title, you wouldnt have the responses that you got. I know what you tried to do with your title and funny thing is it backfired. And, i really dont believe your truck ran those numbers. Just looked to slow even for 1/8 mile. Next time run at a track with signs at end and retape the run.
@Dugrel10 yea this truck wouldnt be able to touch 8 seconds on a 1/4 mile track.. the only truck that comes close is that red and green dodge on utube. its like.... 9.04 seconds or something.
@arioch100 Yea, i had to go and look, but i thought Gale Banks had an S-10 that was cummins powered that was also running in the 8's but i was mistaken. The S-10 is powered by a Duramax and is currently running in the mid to high 7's. Everytime i turn around, that truck gets faster heh. Even thought in it's current form, it's most likely not street legal but i'm sure a tire change would fix that :-) He does have a Cummins powered Dakota but its a land speed truck.
@CowboyJR1982 Dude just please stop. Your Explorer can't run 8's stock. Just face it...you truck is a piece of shit. A fucking corvette runs 8's. GTFO.
@rdodger300 running as much boost as you need in a diesel, you need to run rich. also, unlike a street truck, they are not tuned to reduce soot. when you burn diesel fuel "koal" is made, that plus running it rich makes that black cloud. look at any "fast" import and you will see smoke out the tailpipe. that's from the tune. and that's in a 2l. out of a 6l, you get 3x as much
I used an online conversion program to figure out how fast 7.53 in the 1/8 would be in the 1/4 mile, and it says that's an 11.80. That's an awesome time for a vehicle weighing close to 7 grand.. wow nice work!
I put a '91 5.9 Cummins in my '78 Bronco, it weighs 5100 lbs on the scale. The motor is still mostly stock but I'm looking forward to running it at the strip.
That's not an issue. My tranny is a fully built Sun Coast unit. Has a new flex plate, triple disk TC, billet input, intermediate, and output, VB, double deep Mag Hytec, etc.
It'll handle pretty much anything I can throw at it. Plus, Sun Coast warranties their stuff for 2 years.
check out pinks all out dodge cummings it runs a 9.18,, in the quarter mile.. black truck

Funny how our Mopar motor runs low 10's in the quarter mile, yet yours runs 8's in the 1/8ths.
Only saying this because you are getting pissy.

Ha ha I can post a video of my crx running down the strip...not show the time, and then claim I ran 7seconds. Sorry, but that truck did not run 8's

@Dugrel10
I'll be sure to be more creative with the title in future.......
The signs do work....it's T&T....no times on the boards.
You can believe whatever you like, doesn't hurt my feelings at all. Try watching a current video of the truck.
Maybe 7 second passes on street tires are a little better for ya.
Either way, I don't really give a crap....just another guy with nothing to put on the table.

Might want to look at a current video of the truck and not one that is almost 3 years old on a stock turbo, stock sticks, single pump.
Better yet, like the rest of the internet hot rodders out there, let's see what ya got....motor or mouth?
cumminalong 10 months ago 3
I'll be sure to break it down Crayola style next time for those internet hot rodders that can't see it's an 1/8 mile track.

Try looking at a current video.
And, if you think an Exploder will run 8's on the 1/8th, you need to put the pipe down.
cumminalong 1 year ago
@xposr2vicious your ford explorer probably can run 8's in the 1/8th mile... and my 125 2 stroke dirtbike can go 200 miles per hour.
