  • cuuute

  • my heart melted a little. so so adorable.

    felix is such a cutie.

  • es una pena q no se escuche el audio. felix esta precioso. saludos a los q lo tienen cuidenlo mucho

  • With the sound off, it is rather a nice video. The last part with the little girls and the ocelot kitten is most lovable.

  • no fair i cant hear anything in the video

  • Good video I liked

  • I have one. She's really docile for some strange reason. Why is that?

  • I want one.

  • My name's Felix

    :P

    Beautiful story,

    I'm glad you released him.

    Keep the ocelot wild.

  • yes

  • HAHAH yeah... i had a normal housecat who had a similar REOW! was really funny to see it come out of such a small kitteh

  • as a baby it looks like a stuffed animal i have ^.^ i wouldnt wanna own one tho...

  • Good job raising him! very good thing indeed. He's so cute, how he played around with your foot and all...

  • Such an adorable little mite.

Thank you for sharing this video.

  • Adorable little fella, I have to say.

I don't speak spanish, so maybe I missed it at the begining, but what was the story with the little green bird? It looked pretty calm perched on that man's hand like that.

  • Well, that poor little green bird, was kind of KO(dizzy), cause he hit the window while flying, but later he was OK!

  • if only we could adime its beuty without harming it, still F*cking adorible

  • It's a bad idea to raise it and put it back to the wild! I'd keep it at a house pet!

  • lol you clearly know fuck all about animals if you are saying' i want a damn ocelot' also what makes you think im a kid? and i dont think i know about anything I KNOW i know about ocelots after working with them for 7 years. Are you retarded? Or one of these guys that wants cool pets to try and get more cock? lol you are seriously pathetic 'dont fuck around'? is that a threat? learn about the real world you dumb fuck

  • Dude chill, I want an ocelot. Doesn't mean I'll ever get one or will try to get one. And one more thing. They are not endangered. So get your facts straight before pulling out the diss. Are you really that uneducated? lmao

  • PS: Its called GRAMMAR AND SPELL CHECK.

  • nice.. i want a damn Ocelot

  • well you shouldnt they arent pets they are endangered species. The only reason this guy took 1 in is because like the description says to raise it and release it again :) a very good thing in deed. Why do people want animals like these as pets? are you really that uneducated to make such a stupid comment? look up bengal cats if you want a cool looking pet cat thats not an endangered species and a strong wild animal

  • look KID, i really don't give a shit what u think u know about Ocelots. I had one before. Don't fuck around!

  • sigo sin entender, cuales comentarios? los que dejan la gente? youtube es internacional, se acepatn comentarios en todos los idiomas...

  • gringos aprendan españ0l de una vez por todas ! we wnted to hear the people speaking spanish ! in original waht they were saying . learn spanish please . Love the ocelote hermosos animal

  • que?

  • que por que no han dejado los comentarios en español para poder sentirse más en el medio ambiente del lugar . eso es todo . Pero el video es muy lindo y el animalito hermoso!!! gracias

  • I think it's a wonderful thing you've done for Felix and very kind of you to let him back into the wild when it must have been hard for you to let him go. Did he ever bite or scratch you? It's instinctive for wild animals sometimes, even when they've grown up with humans. Thanks for helping Felix!

  • Well, he never attacked me, but he was rough to play with, very strong indeed! But he had to go where he belonged, the wild!

  • I really want an ocelot but it would be wrong for me to keep one =(

  • loved the video

  • hehee cute "meow" :D

  • Cool video but that music really sucks.

  • How can you say Bob Dylan's music sucks! That means you don't know music at all...

  • I love that song, but I sympathize with the commenter - it didn't belong in the video. I would much rather have listened to the people talking.

  • Come on!! the music is just perfect, at least for me it is, that's what really matters. You know, people talking is people talking, but Bob Dylan is Bob Dylan!! Anyway the video is in spanish, I don't know if u could understand any of the people talking...

  • i want a grizzly or a black bear as a pet later... i hope ill be able to :):) its one of mah dreamz XD

  • Amazing animal ang very good video, congratulations!

  • Cool video, pretty jealous that you were able to have a wild Ocelot about the house for a while. Thanks for releasing him.

  • How could you tell they released him? I was unable to hear anything they were saying over the music.

  • Maybe because he read the information of the video. Even if you can hear waht they are saying, you wouldn't understand a bit!

  • Porque no?

  • I can't believe it; an ocelot and Bob Dylan! This is fantastic.

  • So, when did you release him back into the wild?

When all that biting and scratching he was doing started to actually draw blood and hurt? lol

  • I have never seen any for sale down here at the local flea markets where you can find a lot of illegal stuff for sale.

  • beautiful!this is my fav cat i wish i had one as a pet cant believe there extinct though cause asshole trappers want money for there fur i hate people!

  • we have ocelots in south texas but they are very rare though. Most people have no idea they exist here but the laguna atascosa wildlife reserve near brownsville texas has a small population of them.

  • so does this place sell them as pets >.>

  • cute one =)

    nice video with good music

  • nice animal

  • I would have named it Adamska XD This is what I get when I'm looking up Ocelot from MGS3 XDDD

  • i want an ocelot as a pet

  • it's a worst idea

  • hahaha, i love the growly sound he makes! :D

  • My parents own one they are endangered and a wild animal so you need a permit and a nice area /cage for it to live in.

  • A nice cage? :/

  • 100 hundred in the wild who said that nonsense they are of least concern on the consevational status only endangered in usa.

  • No, hunbun, that's everywhere. I know this. If you think i'm wrong, i'm not, Ocelots are my favorite animal and I, of all people would know.

  • i would love to bread these in the uk it would be well nice hundreds of these cats running around the country side

  • Hunting sheep, killing house-pets and chickens.

Seriously? bad idea. Not good to introduce an animal to a different habitat. Australia learnt that the hard way- with rabbits, cats and dogs

  • And cane toads!

  • people who kill these r scum!! because if their kittens are nt looked after they die too!

  • Bob Dylan + Ocelot = WIN

    5/5

  • aww he is soo cute im only 10 an im gonna be my mom for one ♥♥♥♥

  • it's illegal to own an ocelot in north america

  • Awesome. It's a damn shame people still kill big jungle cats.

  • He acts like my cat! Especially with the foot thing. So cute =]

  • BRAVO!

    Ricky Cobo

  • id get one and name it revolver

  • I love this video. I want an ocelot, they have been my favorite animal forever. It's so sad his mommy was killed. :(

  • These are gorgeous cats. It's very depressing to know that they will probably become extinct.

  • Horrible that his mother was killed. Was it for her fur? Awful.

  • must of been hard to let him go in a way bc its rare to get and exotic animal to look after

  • I think Felix is wonderful. It is great of you to have looked after him and then let him

    go back to the wild.

Did Felix like the Greatful Dead as well?

  • Well, I think he was smart enough to become a deadhead!

  • dude bob fits every where

  • yea the bobcat is not as smelly or agressive as an ocelot thay can if reared properly make a good pet but need o lot of time &commitment

  • HI! I see that Felix was getting dangerous while growing up even when just playing...

Do you think serval or bobcats are more

suitable as home living like pets?

  • I do not. Wild animals should never be kept as pets. Not only is it cruel to keep them from their environment, but they are dangerous to humans and they're very destructive when kept in a home. When people realize that their cute wild kitten has grown up to be a dangerous animal, the animal often has a sad fate, locked in a garage or chained up in the yard. We already have domesticated cats - what's wrong with adopting one of them?

  • tojwermont - nothin wrong in adopting a cub.

It's the only way to save him from a usually cruel life I guess.

Obv.the best thing should be training him

    to wild life if possible...

  • I think Felix was a rescue because his mom was killed before he was weaned. Rickycobo's intention all along was to raise him to an age where he could survive in the wild on his own. He wasn't adopting him as a pet. I do think there's something wrong with adopting a wild animal (permanently, as a pet), no matter what age.

  • to jwermont- totally agree -

    eventhough we're just giving love,and it's so

moving receiving love from a wild animal it's somehow against nature though.

We should show our love respecting them and their environment.

  • You got it right jwermont, I just kept him until he was kind of ready to survive by his own. I am glad I found him in the first place, wondering around the jungle without a chance to survive. I guess he is all right now, living the life an animal like that should have, out there in the wild, free!

  • ive heard when these cats bite they can do serious damge to human flesh, apparantly if they decide they want a piece of you then they go for the groin or behind the arms, one guy i heard of had to be rushed to hospital it rippid a chunk out of his arm & caught an artery, beautiful lookin cat though.

  • beautiful cat its a pity they can t bread a domestic cat with 1 of these cats may b have an in between sized one for a pet or have people already done this, i would love a cat i could put on a lead with out gettin laughed at! or i would love a cat that would nt get attacked by them bloody pit bulls that every body has!

  • Can you tell at that age if it's an ocelot or a margay. dream pet. but I've read they spray like crazy. I will start with an serval and see if I can handle one more wild cat.

  • great choice 0f music

  • What a beautiful cat. I've read that there are lots of problems keeping Ocelots as pets.....have you had any problems with him?

  • Well, they are not good for pets, they belong to the wild really, I raised Felix until he was able to go for himself into the wild again, he was too strong and rude to play with, you don't want that in a pet!

  • I gotta say, that was a really awesome video. I LOVE Ocelots!!! My fav cat. I wish I had the means to rehabilitate them. I run a non profit animal shelter...mostly cats, around 50 of them. We're so far out in the country it's just fine:) A little hard to take care of that many cats, but it's very rewarding. How old was he in this video?

  • Nice work you do!! Felix was probably around 4 to 5 months old in this video, thanks for the comment!

  • He's wonderful! What a great gift you gave him after losing his mom... great to see

  • I hope he is safe and happy in the wild..so beautiful!

  • very cute cat, but lets let it go into the habitat. make a video of it going into the habitat so i can say good bye to that cat.

  • Absolutely adorable! Ocelots are God's little angels. Thank you for posting this video. You did an incredible thing by nuturing Felix until he was old enough to sustain himself, and then letting him go back to nature. We need to raise awareness that ocelots are not pets; they are endangered wild animals that belong in their natural habitats. They look cute and cuddly, but they are not meant to be domestic pets. I hope Felix is enjoying a happy, fulfilling life in the forests of Ecuador!

  • I'm sure he is and I'm happy he is enjoying his habitat, thank you for your comment.

  • I love this little guy! Looks like he's happy and well taken care of. After more research on ocelots, I found that a special license is required in the US to harbor one of these cats along with a background in zoology. They are a highly endangered spieces, anyone else in the US caught selling or harboring an ocelot carries a federal fine of up to $50,000 + jail time! Much time must be invested to ensure a healthy life. Again, it's a BIG commitment.

  • It's great to see people who are willing to dedicate their time to help take care of these great cats. There are justifiable situations in which a wild cat cannot be released into the wild and must be taken care of. Of course they are not good pets because these animals require more special attention and needs than domestic cats. It's a big commitment.

  • I want one...where do I by one?

  • You can't buy one, they are not for sale, maybe in the black market, but that is not right, lets leave them alone in their habitat, OK!

  • really?

I thought they were legal, where can I look this up?

  • It is very difficult to release a wild cat back into its habitat. Best of luck to Felix. And yes Ocelots are very cute, but are not meant to be our pet.

  • oceeeeeeeeeellllllllloooooooot:D cute as hell:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:d

  • does felix ever come back to visit?

  • No, but he must be Ok!

  • Rickycobo I think it is wonderful that your rescued this ocelot kitten and then let the cat go free when it was ready. I am sure he is doing very well and maybe having his own kittens! God Bless you for caring about animals.

  • Ocelots are beautiful cats but do not make good pets. I work with one at a zoo. They are one of the most aggressive small cats and are also very destructive.

  • Google "Canid Domestication Farm Fox Experiment" to see how quickly animals can be domesticated. I'm confident that the ocelot could be a great house-pet within a (very) few generations.

    Check it out.

  • I don't believe in wild cats being kept as pets. I have been working with wild cats for 15 years. Ocelots were popular pets in the 1960s. There was a TV show which featured an Ocelot. The actress was attacked several times. It was eventually declawed and de-fanged. Ocelots have a very strong urine. They are quite aggressive for a small cat. When I first started out working with cats a female ocelot who jumped on my back. They are very destructive as well.

  • The wild cat from which the domestic cat is descended is UNTAMABLE.

Read about the "fast track evolution" work of Dr. Dmitri Belyaev on wild foxes before you draw ANY conclusion based on your (valid) experience.

  • I'm confident that the ocelot could VERY quickly be bred into a great pet. My concern is:

    1. the fate of the rejected specimens (Belyaev's rejected foxes became coats!).

    2. do we NEED pet ocelots? (the housecat is fine as it is).

  • I agree we do not need pet ocelots or any other wild cat. The shelters are full of beautiful domestics waiting for a home. I came across many rejected pet ocelots at sanctuaries. They were very difficult to work with. The ocelot at the zoo is much easier to train and care for. I adore him but I know what he is and what he has the potential to do. What we need to do for wild cats is preserve their habitat and stop poaching and the pet trade.

  • I DO agree. You raise the most important concern - how do these wild animals get here? Many species of South American parrot (incl. toucans, etc) are endangered because of the pet trade (the VAST majority die in transit).

Their fate is more important than our selfish desire to be entertained.

  • Oh what a vid! lovely Ocelot!

  • its illegal to have one, i think

  • yea its defiantly illegail to own a wildcat like that. you know how big those things get?

  • Actually an adult ocelot is generally around 100cm long including tale and is not much bigger than a domestic cat.

I'm pretty sure it is illegal to own one nowadays; but I do know that Salvador Dali always travelled with his pet ocelot.

  • Tail*

  • God, yet another mistake sorry. 100cm in length PLUS 45cm tail.

  • lol. yea Im aware they arent huge cats. But still its pretty absurd to own one.

Its a cute video regardless ^^

  • Absurd - Salvador Dali be thy name.

    Hehe.

Yeh they are cute, they're my favourite animals.

  • ke mona

  • Muy guapo gatito!

  • i love it there so sweet. It's too bad there are only 100 left in the wild. They have been my favorite animal since i was 5. yeah pretty sad. Now I paint oils of ocelots and sell them. All of the proceeds go to environmental defence, which has a program to save ocelots.

  • thank you.thats such a horrible thing.

  • There are only about 120 left in the wild as far as mexico and the usa but there are quite a few left in other continents - about 50,000 and the UN redlist has it listed as a low concern, a change as of 1996. So really the situation is improving :)
