N*ggers like you are the ones that give black people a bad name. Come to my town, I bet me and my "honkey" boys fu*k you up. P*ssy.

  • All racist white folks are dogs!!!!!! Flat the fuck out. U all live a triflin ass disqusting life. Bitches I hope all yall die a horrible death u fuckin criters

  • @juice5751 - What? I couldn't understand you through all those spelling errors. But FYI, not all racist people are white so how about you broaden your terminology, if you know what I mean.

  • @dixmac he said, all ''RACIST'' white folks!! if you are white, and not racist, why you care? if you care, that means that u r racist!!

  • I don't care much for this show. I'm biased towards the Shield. The Shield is the most realistic cop show ever made. this is a cartoon in comparison.

  • @brandon98188 The Wire/10

  • @Kaleb34

The Wire is 2nd to The Shield. but it does look like how the Shield would look on a network.

  • If this show was shot with reality, it would be broadcast on BET. No one really gives a shit about the ghetto. We just like seeing blacks hunted down and arrested. It makes us feel better and forget for a short while about the 'ignant" ghetto fools ruining our won community. The statement is true "Niggas ain't shit!!!"

  • This show is fake ass hell, dont nobody on the show really represent the true Detroit people, the way we act, look, dress, or talk, all the murders on the show look liked they happened downtown, you see the ren-cen in every scene, its lke they scared to go to other parts of the city, all im sayin is dont put some fake ass shit on tv about the "D" and espect the "D" to watch and respect it.

  • i dont like this show

  • I think this show got financed because of Michigan's tax credits for film-tv production.

  • @XFuncCaRteR ya no shit, everyone knows that, its not a trick, its buisness. your not making any discoveries here

  • Not even real detroiterz. Cheezy cast of characters.ain't no honkeys going to buy a car in the motor. And no honkeys livin there either

  • @tonykoss71 no 'honkeys' live in detroit, as you say, well because too many niggers like you live in detroit. No one wants to live around animals who are prone to violence, theft, and murder. You blacks have run detroit and every other city you inhabit into the ground. Fucking cockroaches

  • @PornStar650Biker2012 "" says King Cockroach aka PornStar650Biker2012

  • @shelovesrb7777 yo mama.....

  • i saw this for the first time last night, and it's not like it's a bad show, but the filming reminds me too much of the office style filming. i had to turn it off. its those quick short zooms that were buggin me

  • Detroit is the illest and simultaneously most unique and beautiful place in the world. And this looks like 'The Wire' knock off...

  • @skipdoodoo For real haha this shit looks like the wire would have looked if it was on a network.. SMH

  • I think it will do well after they work out all the kinks.

  • Canceled?

  • Actually, Detroit is a lot like that (yes I do live there)

There are some good places though, but the majority of it is pretty bad.

  • @MrCobra55 in detroit 8 mile its fucking hardcore. I know es/bhb. A cop got killed by a gang and shit with ak-47

  • must really suck to live there.

  • Comment removed

  • This show was done very poorly. I'm not from Detroit, but I know this does not depict it well. I had very low expectations for this show and it just barely met them. I give it a C.

  • Yawn.

  • @artsnotscience I agree. Seems like just another cop show.

  • DETROIT NOT 187... it should be detroit whatever the penal code for murder over there is, i gurantee this show wont last no more than one season. its michigan not CALIFORNIA!!

  • iv watched them make like 3 episodes 2 of them were on jos campau and in the allies they made it look like new york and they had a taxi and cop car that said new york

  • lmfao @ the token white guy

  • To all....I was born and raised in Detroit and have been here all my life which is 40 years, and I can tell you that this show is going to be so unrealistic a portrayal of DPD it's not even funny. I've worked around Detroit police for years and I assure you Detroit cops do not look nor act like this! To cast Michael Imperioli, an Italian-American from New York , complete with thick NY accent, running around doing what he does is a joke. He's way too clean looking. Hollywood does it again.....

  • Comment removed

  • Im going to watch it. Only because its about Detroit and TV shows NEVER showcase Detroit. I was born in Detroit and lived there from 1971 until 1982. Wasnt real bad then,..but now,...its disgusting. This show shouldnt be on ABC. It should be on cable. Its unrealistic to see a show about Detroit and nobody is swearing. Plus,....the cops in Detroit take 2 to 3 hours to respond to a crime....and thats if they EVER respond at all.

  • great to see michael acting

  • I am looking soooo forward to this show!!!

  • the only thing they got right is fat fucking detroit cops eating food and not solving crimes, and yes this shit should have Dennis Franz tay,tay diggs and be on hbo or showtime not abc

  • christopher what the fuck???????????

  • if there is a hell on earth its 36th district court

  • This is just more of the same old same old bullshit as all the other shows of this type.

    ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • There's violence everywhere! In the inner city there's gang or drug related violence. Out in the burbs there's lose ur job and go shoot up the place type violence. If ur an outsider don't judge unless ur willing to be judged.

  • DPD sucks and so does BOB BOB and the DPS system don't even go there!

    Detroit...only God can change it

  • DPD freaking sucks

  • I just moved here from Philly in April and it's the same. Looks different and people's swagger is different but poverty and crime are the same. Murder capital sounds familiar. Philly had it a few times and Camden, New Jersey too.

  • Quote of Byron Williams: I'm Rooting for Detroit: "Detroit of the past will obviously not be its future. But Detroit is quintessentially American. There is a toughness that refuses to concede to the labels that those others wish to bestow."

  • @christof139 Quotes don't mean shit. The "ignant" ghetto fools are ruining it can't even read your quote.

  • I am glad I got out of the sewer (Detroit) when I did broken into twice cops taking 6 hours to respond, Now going for the "murder capital of the world" for the second time.I hope Dave Bing knows what he got himself into and I wish him all the luck.

  • I am glad I got out of the sewer (Detroit) when I did broken into twice cops taking 6 hours to respond, Now going for the "murder capital of the world" for the second time.I hope Dave Bing knows what he got himself into and I wish him all the luck

  • i don't live in Detroit and I am not American but I have been to D and it doesn't look like this stupid show at all. of course the city has problems and this series is not helping at all, but seriously if you have been to real dangerous places you wouldn't say anything about Detroit and its environment. like other people said here, tv should work on improving Detroit´s image, there is a lot good stuff going on there.

  • Yeah Michal Imperoli.

  • @StickaArt Always remember him as Spider from Goodfellas. Great actor.

  • I left Detroit after high school 15 years ago and never looked back. I'd advise anyone living there to do the same.

  • gotta wonder if this show ever woulda happened had The Wire not come out

  • It comes across really fake- like showing Detroit cops actually interrupting crimes in progress. Doesn't happen. The DPD is so understaffed all they do is respond to crimes after they occur.

  • My home town. I'm sooo proud.

  • I was born and raised in Detroit. I will watch this show for sure. It does look kinda weak My question is are they giving any of the funding from this show, back to Detroit? Detroit needs so much done to bring it back. I agree with subziroe, there are still so many very nice areas. But guess that nobody wants to see a show where people who have stayed in Detroit keeping it a better place to live? I am white and I am crazy! it is what kept me alive there ;-)

    Peace, Lisa

  • i live here too this shit looks crazy White And Crazy

  • Finally Detroit gets a csi show just like I wanted damn got to get my self in one seen on this show

  • Are you fucking kidding me ? I'm not from Detroit i'm not even from America but this looks like the biggest load of crap i've ever seen. They talk about Detroit like its a shooting range.

  • @antipro8 That's because Detroit is a shooting range. It's the crime capital of the world. And why aren't you from America? How would you know what it's like.

  • @jfk52917 Your asking me why i'm not from America ? Hmm maybe because i'm not born there, what kind of stupid question is that.

And know what what is like ? I was talking about the show and i'm pretty damn sure they are overexaggerating like everything else that comes on tv.

  • @antipro8

Detroit is a VERY large city. How come NOBODY ever talks or writes about the beautiful parts of the city. When people outside Detroit visit me they are totally knocked off their feet when they visit me in Detroit's Rose-dale park. The media doesn't want the Public at large to know we have a thriving middle & upper middle. They will NEVER show the nation certain area's in Detroit. It would destroy their agenda. Palmer Woods, Sherwood Forrest, Rosedale Park, Russel Woods for example.

  • MICHAEL IMPERIOLI!!!!!

  • thumbs up if your white and crazy, errrrr

  • screw you ABC. this is the biggest piece of crap ever. i am currently growing up in detroit and no one i know has been shot and i havent heard any gunshots. we are a city, not hell. i love it here and will never leave. every city has murders, detroit doesnt have that many and i bet none of these actors are even from detroit. they are probably from some small suburban town in south dakota.

  • @jack12030 Your fuckin stupid.. i KNOW you dont live in the D

  • @DJVeezyVeez ur right. you must know where i live. its not like ive been born and raised here. o wait, i have

  • Guys Detroit is not all that bad and for the people who have never visited before should because there are things in the D that are cool! For example the Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, there is a place down the river by the GM building that is a walk way and you can see Windsor in Canada!! And I am happy ABC is doing this because this will be about the police and citizens!! Everyone I listened to who have visited Detroit said they loved it because of the people and it is a different atmosphere!!

  • @TVlover2111 I'd be cool if it was like any other crime drama (Law and order, CSI etc) where city is a de facto setting. Instead, here a detective walks the street searching for a bullet casing and finds 4 different types just by looking by a curb. Then he says "yep, that's what happens when you look for bullets in Detroit (haha)" So yes, unlike other shows, ABC is planning exaggerate, build on the stereotype, highlight the fact that it is about Detroit, further warping public perception.

  • I hope they don't keep playing those songs like it's still the 70's !

  • love this my daughter in this

  • :19 Donate your car-- 555 number-- lot of post production editing

  • Each week they will have special guest playing the Chief of Police. This show wont come close to the real 187 that is profiled on the evening city news day in and day out.

In the beginning of the promo-- how come the GM logo is blurred out on the REC CEN building?

  • Comment removed

  • Haha there's so much killing in Detroit they got rid of the other codes, now it's just 187. This show will illustrate how much money is wasted chasing these lawbreakin' ghetto fools. A preemptive approach would be better to just round up all the blacks and let loose the ones without a rap sheet.

  • i see im not gone like dis shit i thought it was going 2 b a documentary series and who da fuck is dat hoe ass nigga not one person in DETROIT wear gold in they mouth we a knock yo shit out and take them 2 da pawn shop here dog.

  • Dang I live in Detroit, they need to come to my hood, 7 MILE !

  • looks the like the series has potential

  • There have been movies making New York look like crap (Taxi Driver for example, with it's slums and psycho killers) But there are films that make New York look romantic. Problem is: has there been a Detroit set movie that doesn't revolve around murder? For a real flop that sucked see "Detroit 9000" done in the 70's. Jobs are being created, and I expect Detroit to improve.

  • 1-8-7 is the penal code for murder in Detroit too you idiot next time do your research mosdef911. I'm from Detroit I know everything about my city. Suck on that!

  • I live in Detroit. I love Detroit.

  • Detroit is the Haiti of America...sure u can go to the downtown where there are about 15 people walking around, and 2 stores, but go 2 miles outside and make sure you lock your doors....

  • They were filming right outside our building on Brush St Downtown yesterday. Right next door to St. Andrews at that club Kingdom. Pretty fresh I cant wait to see this series it actually looks pretty good.

  • they were filmin on my streeet :]!!

  • @ Nomis2779: Sure, there are places that aren't safe or pretty...the same can be said for any large urban city (LA, NYC, DC, Chicago, Miami). It's easy to fall into the same media trap outsiders fall into...using the term "warzone." Derelict, sure, urban prairie, OK, but not a warzone. There are many thriving neighborhoods in Detroit where residents, who have the means to leave, CHOOSE to stay. Check out the Detroit Vacant Property Campaign to see how people are fighting for their neighborhoods.

  • @juleonflux come on are u really even from here? I live in the burbs 30 mins away but work at all the night clubs in the whole Detroit Metro area every night, the city is a warzone, ive seen so much ridiculousness that i dont understand why we dont just blow the city up. There R more residents in the D who cant afford to leave there homes than ones who can, the place is full of people who just dont care about life at all. we finally need to admit that The D is garbage so we can start to clean

  • @topdog17 Your asperity is unwarranted. By admitting that you DON'T live in Detroit, that you only visit AT NIGHT, AT BARS (which attract a certain kind of crowd), you have essentially gelded your observational (and anecdotal) credibility. Let me disabuse your perception. Rather than attaching a good/bad value to thriving/struggling neighborhoods realize that people from all walks of life and different economic levels struggle. Does someone care less about life just because they have less?

  • @juleonflux lol do u think using a thesaurus and picking big words is gonna make the reality of Detroit any different. I do promotions all over downtown and in all parts of the city not just at night, people everywhere struggle from all walks of life but if u are really from the city you have to admit that there are wayyy to many people there that dont care about the city, life or anything. oh maybe u havent realized that the burbs are 15mins away if u really even actually live out here

  • @topdog17 Once again you fail to understand the point of my statements. Instead you attack me. Attack my argument with FACTS, not opinions formed from the observations you see as a club promoter. Do you work with any urban planning groups? How about any Detroit neighborhood associations? Do you have any stats from Data Driven Detroit? Please contact them; intelligent people work at those organizations. You might be a bit intimidated, but you'll be just fine... just keep your dictionary handy :)

  • @juleonflux no i understand you. you just wanna sit behind your computer and act like and intellectual without going into the city and seeing for yourself, funny you name data driven Detroit cause it just list statistics and facts that show the reality of what i said. I dont even get what u are arguing about now. If the place is gonna get better we gotta be realistic about the state its in. And im far from a nightclub promoter I work for a co. whos target demograpic is detroiters

  • @topdog17 What statistics at D3 support your notion that a majority of Detroiters are trapped and can't afford to leave? How about stats citing Detroiters don't care about their city? I do sit behind a computer...in a downtown Detroit office, that directly helps other Detroiters. When I'm done doing all my intellectual things you don't understand I go back to my home, in Detroit, the place I was born and raised. Let's see, that's from, work, live, and help Detroit. Me-(sorry, lost count). You-0

  • @topdog17 Detroit is very livable. Rosedale Park, Palmer woods, Sherwood Forrest, University District, Indian Village..etc etc these area's exist and they are BEAUTIFUL!

It's obvious the White news media does not want the world to know these beautiful homes and area's exist in the city of Detroit and that they're occupied by upper middle class Black people.

I believe in telling the truth. its 2010 and white folks should just get over it.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL you are joking do u know how small these neighborhoods your talking about are?? wow you named 4 decent places but what about the rest of detroit? U need to deal with the reality that detroit is not in a good place right now, admit it and then do something to change it.. and if you drive 10 mins down 7mi from Sherwood forrest your not in a good area, I am from this area unlike the other ppl commenting here. Oh and some of the places you named R the suburbs, where I live

  • @topdog17 Yea i know its crazy. In detroit 8 mile its crazy. detroit 6 mile detroit 7 mile all crazy. i know a es/bhb and he says its crazy.

  • ABC altered this trailer; they removed the funny quips. The first being about the homicide board..."we just might be the last assembly line in Detroit." Another line, "This is what happens when you look for bullets in Detroit." Looking at that version of the trailer, I wouldn't be interested in the pilot at all. Detroit, the cat is out of the bag! It's well beyond covering up it's dirt. Just own it and laugh at the ridiculousness of the histrionic and mendacious media attention.

  • This is true American Exploitation. Keep right on kicking Detroit to the curb. One day Detroit is going to be refuge for post apocalyptic America. Kid Rock and Eminem are going to be vice presidents to Ted Nugent. Bob Seger will be speaker of the house.

  • @Stereotypeomega Ted Nugent lives in Texas now. Good riddance. Kid Rock has homes in Clarkston and Nashville. Bob Seger has never lived in Detroit.

  • @Lastyear111 Thanks for the update, captain.

  • So they finally coming out with a show about my city. Detroit is my home but why do outsiders like to talk shit about us? Come to my city & then talk some shit.

  • Never been to Motor City but what I hear it's the first city in the US where the project to reinstate slavery should be initiated. Niggas out of control up there!!

    STAY AWAY!!!

  • fuck u bitch ass white monkey

  • @mosdef911 plz dont talk shit if uve never been here..

  • 187 is the penal code for murder.. in CALIFORNIA. Another show the producers made without doing proper research. This show sucks wind.

  • Did they get PERMISSION to come into our CITY and try to make us look worse then people already think we are. One thing about us we may fight among ourselves but we will come together to fend off TRESPASSERS. You havn't got the blessings from the streets you will wish you had.....GRIM.

  • @GRIMSREVENGE253 This is Detroit.People die everyday and it is fucked up.You go to certain parts of Detroit it looks like a fuckin war zone. Two or three houses left on the block because the others were burnt down.Have you ever driven down Chene street right off of I-94,it looks like it's been hit by a natural disaster. Not ALL of Detroit is bad but Detroit isn't a pleasant place to live.In most parts the only people left in Detroit are the people that can't afford to move out.

  • @Nomis2779 veryy ture i live in hamtramck but i go to detroit all the time and ur hright because half the stuff u said ive seen

  • Detroit, where the weak are killed and eaten...MUAHHHWAHHHHH!

  • Detroit is a city that HAS NO EGO...IT is not bad or good, it is what it is..and it can either make you stronger or beat you to your ass..lol But most people want candy coated reality shows that talk about who is going to sleep with who....Zzzz I think this show has merit..and its character driven..people these days are so used to so much overprocessed crap on TV they forgot what its like to watch a non-soap opera character driven show..The story looks intresting..and I would give it a chance..

  • nobody lives in detroit anymore all the money and people moved out to the surrounding cities.

    \

  • @van131 You sound retarded ass fuck Detroit population is over 900,000 and is the 11th largest city in America

  • @Tdahoodfella 10th now

  • go eat your daddys shit in die punk ass bitch

  • @van131 Get ur Facts Straight cause that Can't be Farther from the Truth

  • @van131 its still in the top 10 biggest cities in america....i live there man trust, not everybody moved out

  • was going through houses to be auctioned from forclosures. detroit has a lot of history and its too bad that y'all elected such a wonderful mayor kilpatrick to represent such a great town. detroit was the spank back in the day now i won't get caught there unless it's for work

  • i said get active in your community cuz i went thru houses 2 b auctioned and one black woman came out to "ask me what i was doing" and when i told her she smiled and said "good get some people in ehre living so they don't burn house or take them apart" she watches over her neighborhood shoos people away who don't need to be there. that kind of thing that's what i meant and it shows because her block was intact and abandoned but still standing

  • Is this a joke??!!! This does not help our city people!!! Offensive.

  • I live with in the city and although I am not thrilled that this show is showcasing the bad times, I understand it is part of what is going on in our city. Now the sad part about it is that not all the brutal murders happen in Detroit. A lot of them happen in the "Metro Detroit" area. This is what we know as the other side of 8 mile. Let's see how long this one last, oh wait it dogging Detroit, it will be on indefinitely
