i use the revlon color stay :) i may have a solution to your problem with it being messy. i pour a little bit into the lid then dab my makeup brush in there to get product. hope this helps. it also protects from wasting product :))

The problem with the blotchiness may be due to the brush you are using. I have that type of brush too and it makes certain foundations look strange on my face. I changed my technique by using a stippling brush on those foundations and it looked really beautiful.

I´ve had the Rimmel STAY MATTE foundation and the only problem is that the lightest color is still too DARK for me - the same problem as clayrekieran has already mentioned. You probably don't need as much coverage as the colorstay. Maybe try the stay matte or the Neutragena Healthy Skin foundation. Almay also makes some really natural looking ones with less coverage.

Well if you work on events or modeling or is puting on makeup for photography purposes, try to find a foundation WITHOUT SPF, 'cause the SPF refracts light and make you look whiter or give you shine spots, like on your chin, forehead and nose...
