What is so funny is that this scene is mocking all the shows that have characters come up with ideas via such ridiculous means....but then Garry Marshall turned around and made Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley, both of which in their later years because the biggest offender of this very cheap writing.
LOL LMBO I remember this. this used to split my sides. I have always loved the Odd Couple. Jack Klugman and Tony Randall worked well together. Hilarious! Hilarant! Priceless!! Thanks for sharing.

Happy and peppy and bursting with love, dancing and singing to heavens above. Jumping and rolling like a little pup. If you knock me down I'm gonna bounce back up. I'm gonna answer when I hear the bells. Feeling precoscious and swell. I memorized the song.
I loved it as a teenager and love it still. This Series stands the test of time, not only because of beautiful memories of the 70´s, the time when everything was better. Except Computers.
Even though I knew I was gay as a young boy, I'd watch these reruns and I used to think that when I grew up, I'd be a lot like Felix--really clean, cultured, intelligent and particular (without being a pain). It's really great to see these repeats again.

Billy Joel quoted this song title in his Inside the Actors Studio interview (though I still don't know why Billy Joel was on that show).

I was shocked to later realize that Tony Randall was in his mid 50s while doing this show. He seemed at least 10 years younger.

As a kid, I loved Tony Randall's energy on the show. Love how Jack Klugman would drink beer at his desk. LOL!!!

Yeah...I cracked up at that too! Plus when Oscar was playing the tambourine "like a crazy gypsy!" (to quote Felix)

I know! That line busts me up every time. They don't write 'em like that anymore.
